Recently it occured to me how long it takes me to work up batreps, since i game for such a long stint on saturday i end up spending hours doing reports on various games(some 40K related and some not). as it is this takes lots of time. i still like to share the pictures but due to limits on my time i am going more with a brief synopsis and pictures from here on out.

 

So without further delay-

 

game VS horde warrior nids

The short-he got my scouts with shooting, the MOTF was playing with some zoanthropes who tied him up long enoush for him to get eaten by flanking stealers. i killed the easy ones fast-biovores and his pods and then tied the rest of the nasty CC units up with dreads. he had lots of rending but either through venerabel re-rolls or just plain bad luck he never did much in CC. i mananged to pull out a strong victory only loosing-

He lost-

His overall list is pretty strong, he just had some really bad dice luck this time around.

Game 2

2.250 points

VS black templar

dawn of war.

 

i made him go first, however the night fight really hurt me, it kept me from getting at his land raiders. one of my ironclads podded in and tried to assault it(and before you ask, i am using FW lucius pods so i can assautl when i DS with my dreads). but only managed to stunn it. it took me a few turns to ninish the vindies, but i managed to tie him up good with dreads since he also had limited ability to really threaten me. the raiders did get to my troops and shred them, and at first the game looked a bit one sided, but there near the end i had started to turn things around.

 

When all was said and done i only had

.drop pod

left on the table.

 

He did a bit better with

.dread,

.2 squads

.marshal

.2 land raiders

 

Giving him a solid 9 KPs to my 6KPs.

 

He has been tweaking this list for a while now and finally added the raiders, it turned out to be the best thing he could do over his old foot slogging list.

Game 3

VS space wolves

The wolves brought a pretty impressive dakka army

Since we dropped the points for this one back to 2K i had to use normal pods, downgrade my GKGM a bit and loose my assault marines, however it was still a very good fight. Some of his units fell back avoiding combat with my dreads(failed LD checks from shooting casualties), however it forced them to run clear off the table. and one of his pods mishapped into oblivion. That helped a bit for my side, however he had relied on melta guns and missile launchers to do his AT work. and it failed him. he only managed to kill one ironclad, he did manage to walk all over most of my infantry but once i got to him in CC, aside from some krak grenades, a melta bomb and a single power fist he really had nothing that could hurt the dreads.

 

When the game ended i still had 5 dreads, a pod

 

He only had 2 troop squads, 2 pods and 3 razorbacks.

 

Givng me the victory with 11 KPs to his 7 KPs

 

His list was really lacking in the AT department both with ranged shooting and CC a few after action changes to his list we discussed will make this a good army to fight.
