A quick question about Headstrong Rule

Sorry if this has been covered a while ago on the release of the newest codex, but I just wondered if anyone could quickly clear up a point that's a little unclear in my head...

Headstrong rule... in short, blood claws within 6inch of an enemy at the shooting phase, must assualt and forgo their shooting.

Now if you were to drop pod in blood claws.... get them out... so they are within 6inch of an enemy, would they be able to charge according to the headstrong rule!?

Or... does the part of the sentence..."The pack must attempt to launch an assault in the ensuing assault phase if at all possible...." Mean that they would not be able to because of deep striking...

in a similar respect... would this work or not work with swift claws (jump packs)

Thanks ;)

unless they have a leash (WG or attached IC) they cannot shoot if they are within 6" of the enemy and must attempt to charge them.

the only time they cannot charge is if there is a rule that prevents them from doing so such as disembarking from a vehicle (unless it is a land raider), arriving via deepstrike (drop pods also state you may not assault from them the turn they land), if they turbo-boosted in the case of bikes or if they were pinned. Im sure there are more but basically if any of these have happened then you cannot assault, you also cannot shoot as the headstrong rule would prevent that.
