Hail and well met brothers!

i have been away from the fang for a while whilst embarking on other projects but now i have returned, and i hope you are all well.

as i recall my last post was on my Wulfen out of the new beastmen doombull, and rather than committing the dreaded threadromancy i decided to start a new topic.

well i have finished the build and have primed him and i would very much like to know what you all think of him

in my haste to get him primed i neglected to allow the greenstuff to dry on his "mane" and as a result squished it and mase it a wee bit of a mess but i shall sort that out today.

i would love it if people could give me feedback about the feet, as i have never sculpted them before.

i also decided to stick a small rare earth magnet in the base so i could mount it on a dreadnought base and use him as a counts as TWC

im going to add some cork to the dread base and some texturing so it does not look as if its is simply standing on a dread base

while i absolutly hate the idea of such evolved wulfen to be still space wolves i'm looking forward to how you'll paint him up=)can't really speak out over the conversion work, yet;)

It is a Lone Wolf Wulfen. The beast has taken control and he is still on the hunt. I would suggest either making a point of keeping all of your other units at least 12" away as if they are trying to keep their distance lest he turn on them.

@Natanael : i think the head is in a suitable position and the staff at my local GW agree, but yeah i will post some close up pics of his head later tonight

@SpaceWolf13C : yeah i tried to give the feet an arch but it failed miserabley lol

@Schertenleib : you are half right on that one, the idea is that he is a lone wolf wulfen that by some random quirk of fate has retained most of his memories (monster on the outside mostly marine on the inside) i will elaborate more with my fluff soon.

OKE DOKE sorry for not posting photos straight away ive been really busy in the "real world" recently

but as i said here are the head close ups

i also re-sculpted the top of his mane as i squished it a bit. i will be painting him tomorrow

The berserker rage of the Wulfen is fitting for a LW. He may keep the inner beast at bay under normal conditions but when he enters close quarters combat he goes into a killing frenzy and doesn't distinguish between friend and foe. Due to this he hunts alone. He isn't a complete monster but the members of his Great Company know to keep a wide berth when the killing starts.

I think one of my hypothetical builds LW builds included TDA, a combi-plasma (relentless from TDA means rapid fire then assault) and a storm shield. He had the armor and ranged weaponary and the mark of the wulfen allows him to tear through hordes. As long as he doesn't run into a dreadnaught he should cause a respectable amount of havoc

heres a bit of an update brothers
