KiltedMarine
I'm going to weigh in on the debate with my own experience to start- historically, if the option has been there to put a pp in a unit, I've done it. Partly for the S7 AP2 shot involved, but primarily just because it seemed especially "wolfy" to do- after all, we like the loud bang and the bright blast involved! In my last couple of games, though, I've gotten the strong feeling that the points could better be spent on different things. Maybe I'm just having a run of bad luck with them, but between losing one to "gets hot" without doing anything to the enemy first, and having another one shoot ineffectively (scored a hit, but failed to wound on one occasion, and on another couldn't roll high enough to glance a light vehicle), I'm thinking I'd be better off modeling up another bolter brother instead. What has your experience been, brothers? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/194452-plasma-pistols/ Share on other sites

LoneSniperSG
I was stubborn in taking them until people here said it was an insanely good idea.. so I'll be stubborn in giving them up! I lament the fact that we only get ONE per squad, and it makes me think that our weapon options before (my Grey hunters had a special, two plasmas, a PW and a PF at ten men. beat.) were cheeeeeeesy. I miss them. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/194452-plasma-pistols/#findComment-2313432 Share on other sites
