Why is Warrior Kings silly? That's presumably why two of their successors are named The White Consuls and Black Consuls. Warrior Kings--> Dual Spartan Kings--> Roman Consuls (Carthage also had two Consuls but they called the Shoftim [Judges] not unlike the "Judges" in the bible.)

Remember, Guilliman was one of the Consuls of Macragge and then he became the sole Consul. Not unlike how Caesar beat down Pompey. Or how Napoleon (expanding on the fact Roboute Guilliman is clearly a classically inspired Frenchmen not a Greek) sort of pushed out Jean-Jacques-Régis de Cambacérès and Charles-François Lebrun to become sole Dictator and then Emperor.

If it sounds bad insert "Consul." It's rather daft that they didn't, but I think that's clearly the intended meaning.

Anyhow, anyone want to take a stab at the "Space Marine" game? Captain Titus is another 2nd company guy as is Veteran Sergeant Sidonus and Battle Brother Leandros.

Pasanius Lysane -

Pausanias ( /pɔːˈseɪniəs/; Ancient Greek: Παυσανίας Pausanías) was a Greek traveler and geographer of the 2nd century AD, who lived in the times of Hadrian, Antoninus Pius and Marcus Aurelius. He is famous for his Description of Greece (Ἑλλάδος περιήγησις), a lengthy work that describes ancient Greece from firsthand observations, and is a crucial link between classical literature and modern archaeology. This is how Andrew Stewart assesses him:[1]

A careful, pedestrian writer, he is interested not only in the grandiose or the exquisite but in unusual sights and obscure ritual. He is occasionally careless, or makes unwarranted inferences, and his guides or even his own notes sometimes mislead him; yet his honesty is unquestionable, and his value without par.

Updated the page7 list to include the source for Pasanius' name.

Brother Solarion is currently seconded to the Deathwatch. He's a member of Team Alpha under handler codenamed Sigma. His nickname/callsign is "Prophet." He is an expert in stealth and the use of the Stalker pattern bolter, trained in both by Torias Telion himself. As far as I can recall we don't know what company he is from, or I may have just missed it. This information is all from the BL stories "Headhunted" and "Exhumed" by Steve Parker, included in the collections Heroes of the Space Marines and Victories of the Space Marines respectively; unfortunately I can't cite a page number as I've got them both as ebooks.

I'm kind of surprised this isn't stickied yet.

Oh, it's still stickied, it's just a little less obvious now. All of our stickied threads are now under "Ultramarines Resources."

Yup.

How else would I constantly be able to find this and come back to add to it? I'm far too lazy to use Searchy every time. :)

EDIT: You know, I use the IP.Board Pro skin with all image, avatars and emoticons turned off because I'm at work most of the time and it has the exact same color scheme as the program I use to do my work (no one can tell I'm just wasting time :(), so I actually have no idea if Searchy still exists....

After reading The Outcast Dead I have a couple additions:

Kai Zulane Astropath seconded to Navigator House Castana - Astropath aboard the Frigate Argo

Roxanne Larysa Joyanni Castana - Navigator aboard the Frigate Argo

And obviously...

Frigate Argo - Commission at the begining of the Great Crusade though allegedly 156 years old at the outbreak of the Heresy, which would contradict this notion since the Crusade apparently began 200 years+ prior to the Heresy.

From Savage Scars:

Sergeant Arcan

--commanding a tactical squad and attached rhino in the mixed-chapter spearhead led by White Scars Sergeant Sarik in the invasion of Dal'yth Prime, Damocles Crusade

--introduced p. 82

--killed on pp. 113-5 when his rhino was struck by a stealthsuit's fusion blaster; three other marines killed, one wounded and evacuated

--it has not been conclusively stated yet, but from other fluff sources can be inferred that Sergeant Arcan and the others are from the 3rd company

So far I am on p. 151 and no other Ultramarines have been named. I will update this post as I read.

Don't know if it has already been mentioned, and reading everything would make my eyes bleed, so:

Page 274 of the Word Bears Omnibus, in the book Dark Disciple, is a note about:

The hilt of the crozius was bound in the tanned skin of a cursed unbeliever, the Chaplain Atreus of the cursed Ultramarines Legion, who had been flayed alive on Calth by Lord Kor Phaeron.
