Um... Techmarine Harkus... He was mentioned in a book I belive, or a short story in a white dwarf maybe.. Ultramarines 4th Company - Just thought I'd add to it a bit.

4th Company

  • Uriel Ventris: Company Captain
  • Pasanius: Senior Sergeant
  • Learchus: Senior Sergeant
  • Selenus: Apothecary
  • Judd Clausel: Chaplain
  • Dardino: Assault Squad Sergeant
  • Nivaneus: Sergeant
  • Elerna: Sergeant
  • Davatus: Sergeant
  • Cleander: Tactical Marine (Close relationship to Learchus)

Others

  • Harkus: Techmarine
  • Lazlo Tiberius - Lord Admiral: Commander of the strike cruiser Vae Victus

*All of the above characters mentioned in the Black Library's 'Ultramarines Omnibus'. (Most introduced in the first book,'Nightbringer'.)

Edited by Darth Potato
As Beef said, you need to add Learchus and Pasanius for the fourth company. Also from the Ultramarines books, there is Servano Tomasin (spelling?) a techmarine that is killed by a fairly large missile hitting him.

Negative, it's from the short story "Chain Of Command" (which was the first Ultramarines related story that Graham McNeill ever wrote) It is however included in "The Ultramarines Omnibus"... And the Techmarine's name is "Tomasin" he gets killed by his own meltabombs which overheat due to a close-by bhlast from a Griffon Artillery Tank...

In that very same Short story is the former 4th Company commander (before Uriel Ventris, why can't people spell names right?) "Idaeus", who dies by sacrificing himself when he shoots a meltacharge with a Night Lord plasma pistol, destroying the twenty fourth bridge that his and Ventris' task force was ordered to destroy... In this very story they also face traitor guards along with traitor Salamanders...

In this very story they also face traitor guards along with traitor Salamanders...

Uh...no....

Ah, my bad, read the short story again and yeah, what I took as Traitorous Salamanders were Salamander SCOUT VEHICLES... ><

(I thought that traitorous salamanders really didn't fit the rest of the story xD

Anyone want to consolidate this list and then get it stickied so that we don't lose it?

(yea, I'm lazy ATM)

As the OP I'll be trying to do this over the weekend and then requesting it to be stickied yes

Yea, I think so.

I'm going to start working on alphabetizing this for easier reference.

Here's what I have thus far:

[*]Sicarius - Lexicanum Librarian

May I ask why you have Sicarius as a Librarian? I'm pretty sure he's captain of the 2nd company ;) (and has a very cool model!)

 If there were suddenly traitor Salamanders running around the galaxy, Graham McNeill would be as bad as Goto when it comes to fluff!

My 200th post! And its even in an Ultramarines topic!

Because there is a Librarian named Sicarius. The Captain is near the top of the list under "Cato Sicarius"

This thread is too valuable to let it fade into nothingness. Perhaps it should be stickied?

CURRENT COMPANY CAPTAINS:

1st Co.: Agemman, Regent of Ultramar

2nd Co.: Cato Sicarius, Master of the Watch

3rd Co.: Mikael Fabian, Master of the Arsenal

4th Co.: Veteran Sergeant Learchus (acting commander until the return of Captain Ventris from exile)

5th Co.: Caito Galenus, Master of the Marches

6th Co.: Epathos, Master of the Rites

7th Co.: Ixion

8th Co.: Numitor

9th Co.: Sinon

10th Co.: Antilochus

1st Company

CAPTAIN TIBERIUS (dec.)

CAPTAIN INVICTUS (dec.): Over 250 years have passed in the Imperium's timeline since the appearance of Hive-Fleet Behemoth and The Battle of Macragge in which Invictus and the entire 1st Company of the Ultramarines died in a heroic last stand defending the planet's northern polar defence fortress. Invictus and the 1st Company have passed onto being being some of the most legendary heroes of the Ultramarines.

CAPTAIN AGEMMAN (current): Upon the death of Captain Invictus the promotion to fill his legacy fell to the 2nd Company's mighty leader, thus Agemman became the 1st Captain and left the 2nd Company's comand position empty.

VENERABLE BROTHER IDAEUS (possibly dec.): Dreadnought

VETERAN SERGEANT ADRASTA (dec.): Led a large contingent of Ultramarines of the 1st Company, Imperial Guard of the Ultramar Defense Auxilia and Titans of the Legio Praetor at the the Southern polar fortress during the Battle for Macragge. He is described as a 'Captain' though this is unlikely as the Captain of the 1st Company at that time was Captain Invictus. It is likely that the term captain in that context has been replaced with commander and denotes a marine leading an entire force of marines. Adrasta was killed attempting to slay a Hive Tyrant after tyranids overran the fortress.

VETERAN SERGEANT DARDINIUS (dec.): Adrasta's Northern counterpart. It is likely that Commander Dardinius led the defenders outside the walls of the fortress while Invictus organised the defence effort as a whole (e.g both the northern and southern fortresses aswell as the other battles spread across the planet) from within the relative safety of the fortress. It is not known whether Dardinius was killed on the front line or deep in the bowels of the fortress with his captain.

CHAPLAIN NUMITOR:

Veteran Squads:

Tirusus

Nice work, Contaminus. I guess I should offer up a few choice tidbits from my collection. These are from WD97, and are quite old. A lot of this has been ret-conned out of existence, but some of it hasn't, so who know? Some of the names are spelled differently throughout the article. Anyway, these were supposed to represent the Ultramarines circa 987/M41:

Hulm Singa: Master of the Apothecarion

Christo Columbine: Master of the Ships. Not a marine, but a navigator.

Samuel (or Samus) Dexter: Master of the Forge

Fimus (or Fimor) Dour: Master of the Household

Keorn Asata: Master of Ordnance and 2nd Co. Captain

Tow Takka-chow: Master of Sanctity

Marneus Calgar: Commander (equivalent of Chapter Master, in those days.)

Decon: Commander, dec'd. Calgar's predecessor.

Illiyan Nastase: Chief Librarian. Half-eldar! Not a marine.

Leo Caberra: Reclusiarch. Not a marine.

Cha Lee: Lt. Commander (equivalent of 1st Co. Captain, in those days.)

Butt: Lt. 1st Co.

Brown: Chap. 1st Co.

Keorn Asata: Cap. 2nd Co. (and Master of Ordnance)

Dieta: Lt. 2nd Co.

Maginty: Chap. 2nd Co.

Riebeck: Cap. 3rd Co.

Mullighak: Lt. 3rd Co.

Ohair: Chap. 3rd Co.

Dewl: Cap. 4th

Newman: Cap. 4th (dec'd 982/M41, fighting Ork Admiral on Womo)

Pule: Lt. 4th

Wolf: Chap. 4th

Huym: Cap. 5th

Weiss: Lt. 5th

Donnon: Chap. 5th

Oquan: Cap. 6th

Hajadin: Lt. 6th

Niereck: Chap. 6th

Yu-Wan: Cap. 7th

Andron: Lt. 7th

Puissant: Chap. 7th

Lazarus: Sgt. of the 7th Co.

Daquinne: Cap. 8th

Zous: Lt. 8th

Pio: Chap. 8th

Kull: Cap. 9th

Idu: Lt. 9th

Reille: Chap. 9th

Lewing: Cap. 10th

Vincino: Lt. 10th

Omos: Chap. 10th

***

Also, a couple of random bits of data:

Captain Agrippa was in charge of the 2nd Company during the invasion of Volistad, according to Final Liberation.

There was a Commander Bannus of the Ultramarines in Inferno number 1. That would make him another Chapter Master, previous to both Calgar and Decon.

  • 5 weeks later...

Hahaha... I found some old stuff of mine. Citadel Combat Cards! There are 3 Ultramarines in the "Spacewar" deck (Series 1 - Combat Cards)...

* Brother Bengham - "Marine Trooper" (beakie with a Bolter)

* Father Ruben Moress - "Marine Chaplin" (sic) (reading a book)

* Brother-Lieutenant Jonas - "Marine Champion" (no helmet, armed with Bolter)

I would scan the cards and post pics, but it might break some rules here if I did so. Following the link to the Combat Cards (above), you can see the pic of Brother Bengham, the "coverboy" for the Spacewar deck.
