Oh god, ive done it some..... 4 hours later.

Gimme a few minutes and ill attach the files to this forum.

EDIT: no idea how to.

What ive done is gone thru everyone's posts, and when someone has a name title and coy, added it to the list. Names with no coy or sqd added to a separate document.

After collating all this info, i think its obvious we need to agree to having the names at a certain time, say now in fluff time (5th ed). Any sources from earlier need to be labeled as such, hopefully with 1st 2nd 3rd or 4th ed in brackets afterward.

Now, there was a huge list of names from Final Liberation the PC game. Is that game canon? What is included/excluded for canon?

I think we might just have to argue out the 'rules' for naming in this thread, and once we have a set of guidelines, make a new thread for the naming of the chapters fightin force.

SOund about right guys?

I think that it's better to include everything from an official source and let the readers decide what is "canon" and what isn't.

Thanks for doing all that work. If you send me the information, I can update the top post.

Things I notice about the update (at a glance)

Corpus Helix as Chief Apothecary is missing

CAPTAIN INVICTUS <--why all caps???? and also repeated a few lines down

2nd Captain Cassius I can confirm from the 3rd edition BBB. Andy Chambers' Ultramarines vs Gav's Eldar batrep.

Don't we have a full name for Learchus somewhere? I don't believe he was ever exiled with Ventris....

Pasanius Lysane is listed a couple times and once without his last name.

(I think a few of those problems are an inconsistency of format)

Yeah, i was doing the list during a insomnia outbreak. I didnt get to check it over again before i sent it out via email, but i think thats what he was gunna do with it from then on in.

Also, COY = Company.... sorry for military shorthand... i think i think some other ones like that in.

And the list is kinda done by company, but not all of em have the names written out there somewhere.

I'd love to get the whole 1000 names of the ultras, plus named support crew and machines, so i can actually add names to the bases of the ones ive painted, and really have a fancy display for the shop :o

A late addition – Veteran Sergeant Kharg of the 10th Company, from the side of the Advanced Space Crusade box.

'Like the senior members of their chapter, Ultramarine Scouts wear mainly blue and white. Their gauntlets, boots and belts however, are black, while their sleeves and chest plate eagle wings are often picked out in gold. The Ultramarine Scout symbol is a stylised version of the Scout knife, and this is worn on the shoulder pad in blue and white as shown.

Sergeant Kharg's back banner bears two purity seals and the high honour of the white Chapter badge on a red ground. In addition, it bears the honours of the Winged Skull and the Supernova.

Veteran Sergeant Kharg bears his Chapter's double headed axe [sic] symbol on his right leg (it also appears on his back banner) as a symbol of his veteran status. The scrolls on his left leg bear the names of the campaigns he has fought in and the studs in his forehead indicate a service record of 360 years.'

It is also noted that the scout squads are marked out by Roman numerals in black on white chest plates from I to X. By inference, Kharg leads I squad.
