Didn't Merrett say that all fluff in the Horus Heresy Novels overrides all the fluff that has already been written about it. So the Legion sizes given in those novels should be taken as canon, and, anyway, the higher figures are more plausible, considering the size of the Galaxy.

 

So wait, the 10,000 man figures in the novels are right? So I'm right? Thanks. :D

 

Except it ain't that simple, because the Raven's Flight gives the figure of 80,000 for the RG alone. What both of you are doing is pick and choose the bits that support you, and ignoring the rest. Both sides can put up a coherent case, so just let it lie. The bloody fluff is so contradictory, so just leave it. You are both right, and you are both wrong.

or more could be 1 marine more or 50K more so who can say ofr sure/

its a rough estimate, a generalisation, it does not say the SW were 10K strong. You know what thanks for showing me that, you keep your opinion And I will keep mine. Only the EMp knows the truth as Gw cannot be relied on to be consistant. Lets leave it at that

There's a reason why there's 1000 topics about this already, there's a reason why there's two entrenched sides. Both sides can pull "facts" from wherever, but in the end GW has NEVER put up solid figures, just very vague and rough approximations. SO LET IT GO
