Hfran Morkai
I've decided I want to bite the bullet with my Wolves and travel in a new direction, that of ground pounding in order to win the day, as true warriors of Fenris should (I joke, either way is cool ;)) I have also determined this will require me starting an army from scratch, simply because my other models belong to an armoured company and I can't bear to tear their packs apart, call me sentimental. So I pondered, with a new army I could try something really new and interesting, so I thought a Heresy era Great Company, further limiting choices I shall be taking. Another self-imposed restriction is no exact duplication of packs, each pack leader will also be equipped differently to others. But I'm wondering if an army like this could ever be competitive, thoughts? Also if someone could inform me as to whether Thunder Hammers and Storm Shields were out I'd be obliged. (I don't remember reading about them in the few HH novels I've read) For the Legion! The_Betrayed_Spacewolf
actually along with tyranids space wolves is one of the few competitive foot forces. although cavalry is the better term. just look at most of our slots there is almost always a better foot unit. hq deadly, deadlier when put on a thunderwolf elites: lone wolfs, wolf guard, scouts fast attack: fenrisian wolves, thunder wolves heavy: long fangs if you keep it smart and cheap you can do really well. heres a link to steleks blog and a good page you should read. yesthetruthhurts: Foot Slogging Wolves Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/194605-oh-dear-that-time-again/#findComment-2315401 Share on other sites
