Bloodmange
So when you guys make up your army lists and get ready to model/paint your chapter badge do you typically make the differnt entries come from differnt Great companys? ie Tanks and Transports from Egil Ironwolf's Company, Wolfgaurd from Logan Grimnar's company, or Scouts from Erik Morkai's Company? Is it more normal to just go everyone from one company? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/194682-shoulder-markings/ Share on other sites
Firenze
I think most people stick with all their men and equipment from one company. It fits background easier as it is more likely that a single company gets sent out rather than chunks of all of them. Heimdal
Aside from the chapter assets (such as priests and dreadnoughts) I paint my force as one sole great company. stinkenheim
every great company is a self reliant fighting force. unlike many chapters where certain things are taken from the chapters armoury (vehciles for instance) or where certain units are taken from different companies (scouts fro the 10th and TDA vets from the 1st) space wolf great companies are fully able to operate independantly with no reduction in capabilites. within the great company are kept all the fighting vehicles and men so we never need to take vindicators from a shared pool of vehicles for instance. only the priests (of whatever designation) are sent out from a collective and are not part of the great company all the time. for me, the vehicles and units all bear the same company markings, but thats just how i like it. if you took two wolf lords then it is entirely possible that they would each include elements of their own companies in the armour resulting in different units bearing different markings. Frontline989
All my men proudly sport Bran Redmaw's colors and sigil. Im sure their are times when two or more Company's join for a joint attack so if you wanted to I wouldn't give you any flak for it. Whatever makes you happy. But yeah generally all one Company.
