Using the Valkerie in an Inq force.

With the update of IA vol 2 a while ago the Valkerie became a nice option for teh forces of the Inquisition. Now i was wondering if anyone else has been thinking of the idea of using it in their force.

I myself was thinking of putting PA Greyknights in it (cannot take TDA units) and have them outflank.

You can't. The Valkyrie is a dedicated transport for an INQ+retinue. While it can pick up and carry other units, they cannot enter the game in it.

ISTs can take Valkyries as well.

On the topic of using Valkyries as transports, I posted a list based almost entirely around this concept recently: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...howtopic=193984

Can you quote that? I can't remember it saying that may have skimmed over it.

Basic rule book under the transports section, p. 67, Dedicated Transport box. Only the dedicated unit may begin the game in the transport. Other units may ride in it once deployed though.

That only applies to WH dedicated transports. DH dedicated transports are truly dedicated, which means that only the unit that purchased the transport may be embarked on the transport. The WH codex has the same wording as the DH codex, however, the WH FAQ has us using the current 5th Ed rules while no such change was made in the DH FAQ.

As is, the only way to put PAGK in a Valk is via the allying rules and using IG Valks rather than Inq Valks.
