Test run-batrep

Our gaming group league bumpoed up to 2,250 so i have been playuing around with what to add to my admech themed "wolf wing" list. i tried our bjorn this time around.

 

I found that while it is fluff filled his limitations are really terrible for a dread

.no extra armor, no drop pod, initiative 3 in CC.

I had to remove arjac just to get him in the list to.

 

The list this itme around had

logan

.najal

.bjorn with plasma

.10 man termi squad with X2 cyclones, 9 combi melta/frost blade and a combi melta chainfist

.5 man in pod set up the same way

.X2 venerable melta DCCW/H flamer in lucius pattenr pods.

 

I battled eldar first. it was the bike army, i did ok managing to take down the avatar and a few squads, he hid his wraithlord and wraithguard so i could not krak spam them to death at the end. i lost 6 units and he lost 4

 

for an eldar victory, however najal played merry hell with his farseer. so it was still worth it.

 

The second game i actually remembered to take pics of, it was a crimson fists list, 2 tac squads, 2 podding sternguard combi-melta death squads, a reedeemer, some assault termies, pedro, sicarus and a dev squad (plasma cannon/heavy bolter)

 

This second game was also kill points.

i had some really bad rolls loosing a full 5 man terminator squad to 3 marines i should have slain when they charged me. so many 1s and 2s on power weapons that kills marines on a 3+ >_<

 

the last turn of the game went to 6 which redeemed me a bit, allowing me to catch up on KPs i still lost but it was only slightly with a 5 to 6 KP difference.

 

Still a good game, however Bjorn is out fo the list....the concept is cool, the limitations really make him less than effective.

 

Arjac gets to come back and with some points tweaking i have enough to slip a land raider helios in the list for my next test run.

 

Should be fun
