Mjelnir
Heres a review of the celtic shoulder pads. The conclusion is that hey are too big for PA marines but with a bit of filing and cutting will fit perfectly for TDA models Link: http://www.mywargame.com/2010/03/25/model-...-shoulder-pads/ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195165-new-celtic-shoulder-pads-from-scribor/page/2/#findComment-2334396 Share on other sites

Great review; it's a pity they don't fit PA, but at least we don't have to loose 3 pads to find out that they are brittle and damage easily! I still haven't received mine yet. Boomsly
well its a bit obvious that they would be brittle as its resin, plus clippers are quite a butal way of cutting, look at forgeworld they tell you how to work with resin parts Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195165-new-celtic-shoulder-pads-from-scribor/page/2/#findComment-2334570 Share on other sites

A good analogue would be epoxy putties. Green stuff is one end of the spectrum with very rubbery qualities, while miliput is on the other side of the spectrum with very stony qualities. The damage done isn't a big deal, but I wanted to illustrate the wrong way of doing it so that other people won't go and brutalise their pads  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195165-new-celtic-shoulder-pads-from-scribor/page/2/#findComment-2335589 Share on other sites
Night Runner
As promised I'm keeping you all updated on the order. I just received an email informing me that my order has been dispatched. I ordered on the 17th of March, so that's 15 days ago. I hope they were inundated with orders otherwise it would not say much for their efficiency! Night Runner
Heres a review of the celtic shoulder pads. The conclusion is that hey are too big for PA marines but with a bit of filing and cutting will fit perfectly for TDA models Link: http://www.mywargame.com/2010/03/25/model-...-shoulder-pads/ Thanks for that Mjelnir. Great review; it's a pity they don't fit PA, but at least we don't have to loose 3 pads to find out that they are brittle and damage easily! I still haven't received mine yet. Hi. I have finally received them. I wont post any pics of them since the post I'm replying to has a blog with good coverage. Basically I can confirm all that the review states. They are too big for PA and need work to fit TDA. Personally I would only use them on a Lone Wolf or HQ in TDA, but frankly, after seeing them up close I don't recommend them much. They are very bulky and seem not to 'fit in'. I might use them on a Lone Wolf or Rune Priest, but not with out a lot of filing, cutting and even a bit of reshaping with putty. This is because they give the impression to be short in length. I know it is hard to understand, but in order to show you I'd have to cut up some of my TDA arms and frankly I don't think it is worth it. Well that is my honest and objective take on it. I hope you find it useful. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195165-new-celtic-shoulder-pads-from-scribor/page/2/#findComment-2349540 Share on other sites

old git
The shoulder pads maybe too big (thanks for that review by the way Mjelnir, I was going to order some for my TWC but they look a bit silly on power armour) but there are also some celtic shields on the Scibor site that just might see the arm of my Arjac conversion.
