Inquisitors: DH vs WH

So I have the Deamon Hunters codex and I've been thinking of picking up the Witch Hunters codex, but I had a couple questions first.

1) Are WH Inquisitors Lords (Independent Characters I assume) forced to take a min of 3 Henchmen like the DH Inquisitors?

2) Does the wargear section have access to the "Null Rod," or something else that completely stops psychic powers?

Yes they are required to take 3 henchmen, though their henchman choices differ, and have the ability to be more effective as a CC unit than the DH retinue. However, I think the DH retinue is better for shooting than the WH retinue.

No null rod, just a hood for the Inquisitor. Though one of the henchmen for WH gives your retinue a 4+ save against psychic powers (taking 2 gives you a 2+ save), so if you want your retinue to be good against psykers they can be. WH also have better overall psychic powers (not great, but not daemon specific so over all more useful). But again, no wargear options that completely stop psychic powers.

WH Inquisitors and Inquisitor Lords are the same as their DH counterparts in terms of stats and retinue requirements. They also have access to much of the same wargear (with notable exceptions including termy armour, psycannons, and null rods).

WH henchmen include Acolytes, Sages, Warriors, and Familiars. Instead of Mystics and Heirophants, they can take Penitents (psychic protection) and the Chirurgeon (wound protection). Also, their Warriors can specialize as crusaders (power weapons) in addition to the Warrior subtypes available to DHs.

Keep in mind, WHs and DHs have extremely extensive and versatile allies rules. As long as you take 1 HQ from the WH list, you could then ally-in a DH Inquisitor or Inquisitor Lord to give your army mystics/psycannon/null rod.

Still can't understand why GW decided to give the crusader option to WH and not DH as well. Surely the specialisation would be just as helpful when daemon-hunting?

Said it once today, I'll say it again - Forget being too unique, I hope it's something they can include for both forces next edition.

I suspect a combined codex will feature just an "inquisitor" generic to all three ordos giving him access to all wargear
