WIP Nurgle lord, jump pack + daemon weapon

7th Son

Recommended Posts

just finished building the lord for my new force, its my first model in few years so could do with some comments and critism!

i wanted a gas masked head but not confident enough with my sculpting skills yet and didnt have one in my bits box! still, the zerker head will do as i plan on this being the only member of my army without a helmet...just to prove he's hardcore

let me know what you think!

Wow, nice one. Good work with the green-stuff, looks a million times better than my gs'ing attempts. Loving the overall look of the model, very aggressive  my only criticism is that the left wrist looks miss-aligned with the gauntlet, but that may be down to the camera angle. All in all, bloody good job sir.

I dig the pose, looks like he is ready for action. Using that Khorne head and weilding a giant axe means you're going to have to sell the Nurgle feel to this guy with the paint job. Don't forget to fill the gaps on that loyalist jetpack, I hate dealing with those things, way too muck work.

cheers guys ;)

i think im going to GS his head a bit..maybe try and make some sort of respirator/gas mask/cloth to cover his mouth and nose. will then hopefully look more nurglish and a bit more sinister, what do you think?

was also considering adding veins or something more fleshy to the jump pack. my modelling skills are a lot better than my painting at the moment and thats not saying much!

I agree, I think some nurgle-ness additions to the head will make it look better, or maybe a tentacle around the arm. Other than that, the model looks awesome, I really like the pose, what pieces did you use for the arm and weapon?

I would go with the old hose directly into the mouth leading down and then implanted into the belly look myself. Definatly add some veins/moldy growth to that pack too while your at it. Just the opinion of someone that models better than he paints too. Good luck.

thanks again guys.

Ive just finished working on the head and added some fleshy parts to the jump pack to cover up the gaps in the sides.

@cunvikted - i used a couple of standard marine arms mixed with a chaos warrior banner pole and axe hand. the axe head is from the chaos termi sprue, took a bit of effort to get them to stick but again the magic of green stuff helped to cover up and mistakes etc

hmm, i see your point. im not a fan of tentacles though..theres just something not too threatening about them!

i might make it thicker though or try and add a gas mask canister to it

thanks for the info, I recognized the termie axe head, but that was it. The added GS on the jet pack looks alot "cleaner" (I know clean and nurgle don't mix, hence the quotes) a little more GS on the mouth is a good idea, but all in all, I think its coming out great
