wolf363839
I didn't like the look of Canis' mount, a bit too fat for such a badass. I chose to convert a mechanical bull of sorts. I think it represents a robotic Thunderwolf pretty well with some simple conversions. I had to reposition the Wolf Lord's left lower leg and I added some green stuff to mask the chaotic slashes around the bloodcrusher's eyes. I also obviously added some SW bits and trimmed down some of the spiky bits, and I used a SW head from the WG terminator set. The Lord's arms are magnetized like the rest of my army to allow me to swap weapon options. Finally, I left off the backpack, simulating a fast, lean rider charging his way into combat. Fluff-wise, I figure his boots and armor are "magnetized" to keep him on his mount and the mechanical beast can also provide power to the Lord's armor. http://i955.photobucket.com/albums/ae39/phil363839/DSCF1967.jpg?t=1268942608 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195274-wolf-lord-mounted-on-converted-thunderwolf/ Share on other sites
ShotgunFacelift
Good looking conversion. I'm on the fence whether to shell out the cash to build 6 Thunderwolves like yours, use the chaos steed conversion, or buy the Non-GW Versions that have been poping up. but the concept of a giant space viking riding a giant cyborg wolf............is just awesome. great job, cant wait to see it painted Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195274-wolf-lord-mounted-on-converted-thunderwolf/#findComment-2325032 Share on other sites
