Anubis Daemon Prince

Recommended Posts

For my Thousand Sons I am thinking of converting a daemon prince that looks like Anubis, the egyptian jackal headed god, after a quick search, I found these images:

which I can't figure how to post, this message comes up

...does anyone now how to post images from the internet on a post?

Now, does anyone have any idea about what models I could use to convert it or use as a base, the Tomb King Ushabiti, as nice as they are, are too small, I have thought perhaps the deceivers torso with a Jackal head sculpted on and a blade taken from a Ushabiti, has anyone tried it before, and if so, could you Please give advice?

Also would you be willing to play against such a daemon prince model, or would the amount of it green stuffed put you off? would it be a legal model?

sorry about my spelling.

I know we have filters in place that block out certain unwanted sites, so there might be a small chance that the site you are linking from is one of those. Brother Argos will know if that is the case.

Anybody who isn't willing to play against "unofishul" models that are clear depictions of what they're supposed to be is a tool. This isn't a Land Raider made of Lego or something. GW stores and tournaments have their own rules, but FLGS and independant tournaments usually don't care. Nor should they. People who cry about someone using Ultraforge demons and the like are just brainwashed by GW's "Hobby". It's your army, and your freaking model. It's clear what you're trying to represent, and in the event of possible confusion simply say "This is a Daemon Prince. He has MoT, I gave him Wind of Chaos and Warptime". As long as it isn't an Optimus Prime transformer or something, reasonable people will not complain.

I have never heard anybody give a coherent reason why this shouldn't be allowed, unless they are referring to their local GW "policy". A policy is not a reason. Policies have reasons. In this case it's to get you to buy their Daemon Prince , Hobby Glue and Hobby Knife .

Make an army that YOU like, and exercise your creativity.

Thanks for the support, I now just need to make it..... So does anyone have any advice on sculpting jackal heads with green stuff? also is the deceivers torso seperate from the legs/lower part body, since I want to do a striding pose, or at least not a floating pose, any advice on how to build it will be apreciated, also any name suggetions welcome, all I have at the moment is Anubis, Thoth, and a few ones that are not that good.
