Sarapham
Well maybe you could describe a bit about the chapter and then it would be easier to fit the attributes with something vikingy. Token
Im not 100 on the fluff of my marines, but want them to be viking. I dont think the vikings were always all that nice guys, perhaps sometimes like the movie "the pathfinder" going out raiding and killing people, but often were traders, something that is a posibility in the huge universe of warhammer40k. The raiding part could be made "good guy" like by having the raids going out and killing dark eldar or something similar, freeing worlds from ork opression. My imperial armies are both imps and marines(and somewhat gray knights, i like plastic miniatures better then metall ones, so i made my own gray knights with the colors of my normal marines), so i think that somehow they are like vikings and einherjer, like the space wolves are, but with the einherjer/marines, living more closely and around the normal humans. They are to have 2 geneseeds, or even 3 if a company is made up of gray knights. Perhaps upon the chapters creating there were only 1 geneseed, ultramarine or other codex space marines, then space wolves arriving for some reason, and being accepted into the chapter for their unique abilites, especially being able to detect chaos taint by smell, helping the world being free of chaos taint. I have also been thinking of the mariens and imps letting a continent on the world being occupied by orks, so they have something to train battle against, sorta making that continent into a death world/continent, something that marines often seem to have, atleast the blood angels and space wolves have that. The viking part would be, going out on raids, but against bad guys, trading, having long hair and beards, having feasts, vikings becoming einherjers. Not sure if it should be a.. class society? cast society? dont think it should be. Also having runestones honoring the dead and telling stories of great heroes and their deeds. Not sure about the asabelief part of having to die in battle to come to "heaven", but instead having all loyals coming to the side of the emperor upon death. rant rant.. More ideas? Oh, i also like huge marines (inquisitor scale) running around the battlefield killing enemies, fluff wise these guys are simply one of these guys: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tallest_people being made into a space marine, Robert Wadlow seem to be a good example, being extremely tall and heavy, rules wise i have made a character into a thunderwolf lord, giving him high s and t and being very fast. Mithril hound
http://www.studioronin.com/pathfinder/cut_scenes.htm . This is more 'look' than names, but Christopher Shy is one of my fave artists of all time and his vikings make me want to remodel my space woves.
