glsn
Hey Everyone, I am currently in New Brunswick and my Codex is in Toronto, Ontario. I was wondering if someone could look up the wording about Justicars and Wargear. Is it only weapons that they aren't allowed to have, or armour as well? I was wondering if one could have a Justicar in Artificer Armour. Thanks for your time. Uncle Mel
just weapons, they can take different armor types (artificer, carapace and terminator). if you take a different armor type though, they can take other weapons. Hope that made sense. Justicar in power armor: all wargear including armor, no other weapons Justicar in anything but power armor: all wargear including weapons though armor is very expensive (or in the case of carapace, worse) so often not worth it, since the J is already expensive in itself. Grand Master Tyrak
Justicars can take armour, but IIRC Terminator Armour is restricted to Inquisitors and Inquisitor Lords. Also, my copy of C:DH doesn't seem to have Carapace Armour. Gentlemanloser
Yeah, Justicars can't urchase TDA. So t's AA or Carapace for them. That being said, there are some folk that rule that a Justicar not in PA still cannot purchase Weapons, as all purchases are made simultaneously, and they would still suffer from thier restriction. I'm on the side that a Justicar in AA/Cara can purchase wepaons, just the same as a Mini Purchasing TDA can no longer purchase Weapons without a * (or T, depending on Codex). Beisdes, I just lke the symertry of a Purgation squad with 5 Psycannons. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195362-a-quick-question/#findComment-2325830 Share on other sites

Means you have an old print, don't know the details but the latest prints have it, same cost as WH Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195362-a-quick-question/#findComment-2326365 Share on other sites
Grand Master Caloth
My dex says "Character: The Justicar may be given any equipment allowed from the Daemonhunters Armoury. His Nemesis force weapon counts as a power weapon in addition to the usual Strength Bonus." That tells me that anything not marked with a 1 or 2 is fair game, including weapons. The Armoury says you can give a Character 100 pts of equipment, but not the same thing twice. IMHO, it means you can have justicars running around with Thunder Hammers, Lightning Claws, or Eviscerators to your hearts content, so long as you are willing to add to the already pricey points cost. At the top of the Armoury section it says something along the lines of "Justicars are well trained in the blessed weapons of their order and are forbidden to use lesser items. Justicars may not take selections from the Weapons list". Lion in the Stars
That's what I liked about the GK novels: each brother had his own personal NFW. One was a big honking hammer (wielded by the biggest Marine, of course), others were swords. I think only one was a halberd. If I ever buy another squad of PAGK, they're all getting custom weapons and heraldry, like in the novels.
