Another Wheeled Rhino

I have distracted myself from my studies to crank this out in AutoCAD.

It's laughably simple. I traced the GW Rhino's side view to get the basic shape, then made accomodations for the wheels. It's curious, though, to see how a couple of lines could give the model a lot of definition o_o

Still, here's the first draft.

The color is also not representative of the paint job I'd like to give it: it's just a layer indicator.

I'm looking for ways to give the model a bit more definition. I'm currently using vents mounted on the stern of the Rhino, but they look too blocky. When I'm not sleepy, I'll chamfer them down and see what happens.

Anything else I can do to improve the design? I'm also feeling like ground clearance is an issue...

I really like it. Looks kinda amphibious. :)

I like the vents actually. Can just imagine some curved exhausts coming out of them, blasting smoke as it thunders out of a river. Not sure if that's the look you were going for, but that's what I'm getting. lol :)

This reminds me soooo much of the APC in aliens. Its got the same chunky tyres and same strangely impractically short ground clearance and I absolutely love it.

If it was a razorback it would be uncanny.

No, they won't roll.

Anyway, last bit of detail. Added some vents and a spot for headlights. I'll start gathering materials and building the thing hopefully next week when I'm done with midterms. This thing's distracted me from school long enough.
