A storm is coming

Well actually 2 storms.

 

I have a themed DIY force that uses no ground vehicles so to add mobility to the force i decided to try a test run with scouts in storms.

 

The game was a perfet opportunity to test out the units since i faced a regular at my local store who uses a well rounded and very effective eldar force. he is a dedicated and skilled eldar player, so it is always a good fight.

The eldar went first so i opted to reserve my typhoon and storms, while my ironclads deepstuck in thier pods

 

. His banshees charged forward intent to take out my GKGM, i blew up thier transport and killed a few but they still got to me. the GKGM and the MOTF survived one round and the GM came out on top with a single remaining wound. there was a large conflagration in the middle of the table with eldrad, uriel and a bunch of dire avengers. i lost 2 ironclads and the GKGM(to perils of the warp >_< stupid eldar runes and 3 dice) but i got the serpent and everybody except eldrad.

the rest of the battle went on in the back corner, my scouts came in and dropped a falcon, only to die to dire avenger fire, i lost the last ironclad to wraithguard.

 

He hit their storm 3 times for a pen/glance 1 on every single effect roll.

 

He consolidated his troops on his objective and tried to move his falcon with dragons up to contest mine. my scouts zipped in in the second storm and nailed my objective. ending the game in a tie.
