slaine69
got some more time to work on the old Primarch pics and this is the result, I tried to do something different from the usual pics of Fulgrim because the armour he's usually in is just to detatched from power armour buuuuut that said some of the bits and pieces were just too cool looking to leave out, hope you guys like it http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2010/082/d/f/Fulgrim_by_slaine69.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195747-fulgrim/ Share on other sites
Legio Draconis
Very nice. Although for some reason I see something of the Vampire in this depiction. Not knocking it for that or anything, it just says vampire to me for some reason. Keep up the good work. Brother Nihm
Stunning attention to detail, love the daemon in the background. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195747-fulgrim/#findComment-2331285 Share on other sites

Vash113
Very nice and very remeniscent of Dracula. I do really like how you made his armor appear more like Power Armor than other renditions of Fulgrim. Makes him look more like a Primarch. titan136
not notch work. better than most of the stuff in the visions of heresy artbooks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195747-fulgrim/#findComment-2332049 Share on other sites
Chaplain Desmodus
Very nice, he looks quite evil. :D One nitpick, the light reflection on the blade seems wrong. Looks to me like the blade is twisted like a Mobius loop. :cuss Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195747-fulgrim/#findComment-2332328 Share on other sites
slaine69
very true dude there was something anoying the hell out of me while I was drawing it but I couldnt put my finger on it, I think theres a lot to be said for looking at a picture with fresh eyes........or someon elses. Octavulg
The blade does look twisted. Of course, that just makes it more reminiscent of older John Blanche stuff from the eighties. Very nice. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195747-fulgrim/#findComment-2333436 Share on other sites
Sons of Horus
it's really good just like your other primarchs. I'm not a fan of the hooves though. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195747-fulgrim/#findComment-2334548 Share on other sites
DarkMark
Overall not a bad effort. However, that blade on the sword is so wrong its not funny. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195747-fulgrim/#findComment-2334567 Share on other sites
Metal Apostle
Love it, but i agree with Dark Mark, the blade tip is angled awkwardly. The rest of it is beautiful though! Octavulg
Remember, if it's Chaos Fulgrim, an oddly twisted blade is probably completely appropriate. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195747-fulgrim/#findComment-2334827 Share on other sites
Justicar Valius
^^^ Yup its not possesed Fulgrim but the daemon that does get into him is right now in that impossibley curved blade (but a bit is in the background to help you realise this, which is great symbolism). The hooves are but more symbolism to show that he is becoming closer to a devil like figure. Malignus
Looks good to me. Already left my feedback on it on your DeviantArt, though (perochial-joe). Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195747-fulgrim/#findComment-2335384 Share on other sites
slaine69
ok after you guys pointed out that the blade was all messed up I couldn't let it rest, I tried to keep the original shape of the blade and change the angle but that totally didn't work so I changed the shape of the sword yeah it's kinda cheating but as it turned out I actually prefer this sword to the last one, somehow it looks sharper, also I don't know why but this image has kept the colour that it was done in it usually fades when I swap computers to post it but not this tome.....go figure, as always cheers for the comments dudes you rock!!! http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2010/094/5/8/Fulgrim_by_slaine69.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195747-fulgrim/#findComment-2346759 Share on other sites
DarkMark
That's much better! I think the left arm needs to be a little bigger too, and the forearm straightened a bit. It looks just a bit too small and bendy currently. :( Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195747-fulgrim/#findComment-2348423 Share on other sites
Malignus
I like this blade shape much more than the older one. Cheating? I wouldn't say that. More of an artistic liberty than anything else. Warsmith Aznable
Very cool artwork, I wish I were any good at this sort of stuff. I think the long face with the thin features captures how I imagined Fulgrim eerily well, though I always saw his facial expressions as being more decadent and less malevolent (like glassy drugged out eyes and stuff). Are you planning either any pre-possession Fulgrim or "full on mutated daemon prince" Fulgrim pictures? These are very good, and I'd be interested in your take of the other "stages". Natanael
Very nice. I like the Ostians foul memory-drawing. It really captures Fulgrim as I remember him from the book, in that particular moment. - Natanael Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195747-fulgrim/#findComment-2540989 Share on other sites
