Scout Sgt with Combi-flamer and powerfist

I got the Sniper Scout boxed set and I decided to kit up my sgt for whatever he might need to protect the poor 1A snipers -- they always get charged by my Necron friend's scarabs.

I couldn't find a good tutorial for making a combi-flamer that wouldn't require cutting up a $4 combi-melta bit, so I just came up with this one.

It should be easy to figure out without a tutorial. The flamer fuel canister is cut in half with the top removed, as it is only a one-shot. The hand is from the left hand plasma pistol.

The powerfist is from the Cadian command squad, with the forearm cut and rotated to hold the melta bomb in a more natural position.

He is still a WIP, I know there are still some mold lines.

I'd like to add a sling to the combi-flamer, but I haven't figured out a good way to do that yet.

C&C welcome!

-Edited to add additional photos of the powerfist-

The scout half arm is cut off at the shoulder pad. The shoulder pad of the Cadian powerfist is also cut off. They line up rather well. I removed the melta bomb for clarity (read: I accidentally popped it off).

You can see where I removed the pistol holster and added a pouch and grenade from the tactical sprue.

You can kinda see that I left the sniper rifle pack on his tailpiece and will probably run a couple of cables from it to the powerfist.

I like the combi flamer, it's very inventive and looks like it works too!

Can we get another shot of the power fist? It looks like it could be a cool swap but it's hard to see.

Main post edited, 2 new photos added.

What did you use for the bolter barrel?

The bolter barrel is a piece of strip styrene from Evergreen. I don't know the exact size -- this was from the Rod and Tube assortment pack (#217).

I had originally tried to glue the original one back on in a higher position, but when I tried to drill it out, it came loose.

The Evergreen had the advantage of already being hollow, so I drilled out the flash suppressor and then cut it to length.

I cut it a bit longer than a standard bolter so it wouldn't look too stubby above the flamer nozzle.

A couple of nice simple conversions that make a very characterful WYSIWYG mini. Only niggle is that his left arm looks a bit strange with the bracer removed from his wrist. I look forward to seeing him painted up.

Already green-stuffed up to rebuild the bracer ;)
