Brother_Kaelgrim
I've been working on my Grey Knights for a couple weeks now and after reading the Viva Metallica thread, I was inspired. Here is an example of my paint scheme on my just finished termi. I'll add more as I get em uploaded. Blasferon
you know, i think the knights look cooler in darker shades. good work Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195929-glacial-grey-knights/#findComment-2334443 Share on other sites
onipunk
Looks great. Maybe needs something done to the eyes to make them pop a bit more, though? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195929-glacial-grey-knights/#findComment-2334690 Share on other sites
Blasferon
yeah now that you metion it, that was what was bugging me, the eyes dont ,as you say, pop out like the ones im used to. if they did this would be even more ace! Brother_Kaelgrim
ya I'm working on the eyes, but my small brushes keep going wonky when I try to do eyes and its hard to put the silver in there. It looks a bit more noticeable IRL. I've got some more coming, just need to take pictures of em. c-wrex
I think it looks great! I like the eyes the way they are, but I think a GK termy would benefit from having eyes that do stand out. Brother_Kaelgrim
Coat the entire model in Mithril Silver. Wash everything in 1-3 coats of Asurmen blue citadel wash. Paint all cloth/trim pieces silver. Runes and appropriate bits are done in gold, with very light drybrushed silver over it to make it a little less vibrant (you could also use a different gold as desired) And of course, seals are silver with red for the wax. Hope that helps! I've almost finished up the termy squad and i just need to clean up the flock on all my other models and I'll post em. (I put a bit of snow flock on top to simulate falling snow and got a bit much in the eyes.) Brother_Kaelgrim
I'm just working on Stern now, I initially gave him silver tabard/cape like my justiciar, but I wasn't satisfied with the result. Tried gold next, looks too weird with the blue. So now I'm washing my way to a nice red and seeing if that works. All else fails, it will just revert to silver.
