Scathainn's LPC Terminator Iron-Father

I, Scathainn of the Iron Hands (* ADEPTUS MECHANICUS *), vow on the honour of my Chapter to paint and present at least 1 Terminator-Armored Iron-Father on or before the 31st of March, 2010. I promise to provide at least two WIP updates, preferably with pictures, in that time. I vow that if I should fail, I will provide the Librarium with an article and wear the Signature of Shame until my penitence period is done.

 

Anyway, on to buisness. I start with some minor sculpting; I took the metal Terminator Captain, axed the sword for a storm bolter, axed the storm bolter for a Thunder Hammer, and added a Servo-arm on his back from an old techmarine. Whew! I then added some black primer.

 

Excuse the lighting on the first three pictures, my camera is acting a bit wonky.

This is my first ever major conversion so I tried to start small. And yes, I did notice the thumbprint on the Green Stuff (I have no sculpting tool). That has since been filed down.

Puttin' some paint on; got most of the silver and purity seal bits on. It's a bit messy but I can clean up later.

looking great so far <_<

 

the only thing that strikes me as odd is the lack of bionics. for an iron hand bionics is like cat nip for cats.

 

i understand you may not be keen to change it now and that fine but just one arm of bionics can make a huge difference to the feel of an iron hand.

As for bionics, yeah, I'm not the world's greatest sculptor (or painter, for that matter), but I'm getting an order of GS in about two weeks so i may sculpt something on after it's painted.

 

In fact...update! He's pretty much finished now, I'll probably base him with the rest of my army later but for now, vow complete!
