Iron-Daemon Forge
Hi everone With the release of codex Blood Angels next week & a painting comp tomorrow base on tanks/walker. I though it would be good to give the Librarian Dreadnought a try, also be good for my local store for those who are collecting or adding onto there BA army, store staff can point out way of making Librarian dreads. http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/tt347/Insane-Psychopath/random/DSC06555.jpg http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/tt347/Insane-Psychopath/random/DSC06556.jpg http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/tt347/Insane-Psychopath/random/DSC06557.jpg http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/tt347/Insane-Psychopath/random/DSC06558.jpg Also here a WIP photo http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/tt347/Insane-Psychopath/random/DSC06543.jpg http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/tt347/Insane-Psychopath/random/DSC06544.jpg IP Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195992-blood-angels-librarian-dreadnought/ Share on other sites
ellis_esquire
Very nice - really like the colour scheme and the toga with freehand painting! Nice subtle highlights too. Just not overly keen on the tiny head for dreadnoughts but otherwise cool! Lestat
One very cool model. Ditto on the highlights and freehand work. Thats a really nice blue on the Dread too. Wheres the glaive from? Is it a GK one you've converted? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195992-blood-angels-librarian-dreadnought/#findComment-2334583 Share on other sites
CosmicCreations
very good indeed, well painted. I'm not sure about having a Dread with a seperate force weapon though, just doesn't seem...right, to me. But thats just me, whatever floats you boat!, again very well done ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195992-blood-angels-librarian-dreadnought/#findComment-2334600 Share on other sites
Iron-Daemon Forge
Just not overly keen on the tiny head for dreadnoughts New Venrable Dreadnought, I like the use of the helmet as it add a bit more to the pose, instead of the dreadnought alway looking forward. If my orignaly plan went ahead, I was aim to have the Force weapon pose as though he was going to attack someone, but the weapon did not stretch out enough to be held in both Dread arm's :( Wheres the glaive from? Is it a GK one you've converted? http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/...dId=prod1110210 You just clip the hands off (but not chop the weapon up), the Dreadnought hand should cover this up/mark left. Any of the orignaly model hand still shown you just cover it with purity seals. I'm not sure about having a Dread with a seperate force weapon though, just doesn't seem It just seem cool ;) I feel it better looking than useing the Grey Knight Dreadnought CCW arm, just way I image the Librarian Dreadnought ;) IP Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/195992-blood-angels-librarian-dreadnought/#findComment-2334604 Share on other sites

You've just given the perfect reason not to bother with will that cutting, dry-fitting, filing etc................ Iron-Daemon Forge
Lestat Posted Today, 02:07 PM I was planning on doing something similar but maybe scratch building a glaive. You've just given the perfect reason not to bother with will that cutting, dry-fitting, filing etc................ GW did use to sell a =][= weapon pack which included a really nice force weapon. Sadily this pack is no longer on sale so the above model/link the second best thing. It is easy to do & cover up any mistake that may happen. But I would use the Venrable Dreadnought hand arm in order to hold it. There no work needed on the dreadnought hand, the weapon fit in pretty well & just a simple case of super glue it once you fited the weapon in place.
