Renegade Tech Priestess

Recommended Posts

So I am going to join in a RP on a forum called Astronomican. I decided that I will be RPing as a pretty looking female Renegade Enginseer Tech Priest character. And as a break from the painting of the Inquisitorial Guard squad, I will be making her a model too. The plan is that the Tech Priestess model was going to be a beautiful woman, looking very handy and the kind of person which everyone would raise their head to. And I think I have achieved that 100%.

Isn't she a precious butterfly? Anyways, I still got some neatening up to do on the plates and arms, the head detail to be finished and then stick on some robes and paint. She is not a combatant character so won't have any weapons, though I reckon she would be pretty tough in a fight. And the head won't be painted as skin. It will have a lense on its forehead and act as a sensor array like the 'head' on a Dreadnought. What little biological matter remains of the Tech Priest herself is deep in the core of her mechanical body. There are other details and tidbits I want to add, but the character has a very simple design which I want to avoid over-crowding.

What is her specialty? Is she logic/information driven, or maybe combat or utility?

Her primary job is the maintenance of small Imperial Vessels, though she dwells deeply into cybernetics, which was what led to her downfall and excommunication from the Adeptus Mechanicus. She is basically a bit of a stereotypical mad scientist/Frankenstein type. Hence why I picked a face with a calm expression for her mask.

Inspiration wise, she was based partially on the Safe Guard with BLAME! and this guy's floaty robot designs. Then I stuck on arms after eyeing my old school Genestealers. I got tons of them.

I intend to paint the hands a pale skin colour with the odd touch of metal, to represent stretched semi-organic material over bionic hands. It would make her look more creepy and would contrast the black arms. Plus, having skin on your hands means you have a little grip when it comes to picking up delicate tools and such.
