Captain Juan Juarez
Very simple query: Is a Troops choice automatically Scoring? I know that certain SC Rules enable Elite choices to become Scoring, but what about the one - Space Wolves I think - that enables Elites to become Troops? Same with a force led by a Biker Captain; Bike Squads become Troops, but are they Scoring? player21
Most time yes. Everything you mention is a scoring unit. There is a few old ball stuff that is troops that can never score. Askari
Unless it is a vehicle or it specifically says it doesn't count as scoring, anything that counts as a troops choice is scoring. SeattleDV8
BRB pg.90 Scoring units will tell you all about it. Vehicles ,swarms and units that cannot score are the big three. chromedog
No, because it is still a Vehicle, and can't therefore be a scoring unit. The troops thing just means that you can have more of them. Albion de Heaven
No, because it is still a Vehicle, and can't therefore be a scoring unit. The troops thing just means that you can have more of them. codex rules have the precedence, so if in the codex they are defined "scoring units" they are scoring, GW released an errata to remove unwanted "scoring unit" definition in other places of DA codex (unfortunately :D) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/196087-troops-and-scoring/#findComment-2341037 Share on other sites
SeattleDV8
No, because it is still a Vehicle, and can't therefore be a scoring unit. Thats a common misstatement of the rule, BRB pg.90 "There are a few exceptions, however, when a unit of troops does not count as scoring: If it is a vehicle." The RWS land speeder is not scoring because it can be a troop choice, but because the Codex tells us it (and the Attack Bike) are always scoring. Isiah
Just to clarify: The Ravenwing Attack Squadrons' Land Speeders and Attack Bikes are always scoring whether they are in Troops or a Fast Attack slot because the DA Codex they are. [Codex DA p27]. Cheers I Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/196087-troops-and-scoring/#findComment-2341940 Share on other sites
