Demonslayer
I was just sitting around trying to stay awake, when my head nearly exploded when I had a thought :o We all know that scouts love being alone, testing there hunting skills to the limit  But what happens when they do something that would put them into the Wolf Guard. Would they just stay as a Scout and wear some mark to show that they have been chosen, or would they give up there life being alone to beside there Wolf Lord. :P You could say that a WG that leads the Scouts was once one of them, but that would put him at a big disadvantaged when behind enemy lines because of all the extra armour. So I would like to know what you all think, and a keg of ale to the first wolf that makes the decision that no one else can deny he is wrong  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/196115-the-space-wolf-scouts/ Share on other sites
Captain Juan Juarez
I don't think they would be chosen for the Wolf Guard. Wolf Scout fluff says that they are all by nature loners of one sort or another, so why would a Wolf Lord take a veteran totally suited to his role and induct him into a force that - like the rest of the Chapter as a whole - espouses brotherhood and kinship. Demonslayer
Wolf Guard is a place of honour, that all Space Wolves want to achieve. Even these lone wolves would want a saga of there deeds how they got such a great honour. Thats why I would like my fellow wolves opinions, To have done a deed to get such an honour can not go unnoticed. Maybe the scout wishes to stay as he is and the Wolf Lord gives him a rare gift to denote of his service and maybe an open place waiting for the scout for when he decides to take his place next to his Lord. I bet that Wolf Lord Erik Morkai used to be a Scout Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/196115-the-space-wolf-scouts/#findComment-2336383 Share on other sites

Schertenleib
Well, where do you think we find the WG leaders to field with the scout packs? If not just anyone can sneak behind enemy lines in power armor. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/196115-the-space-wolf-scouts/#findComment-2336406 Share on other sites
calgar101
Or might just say "thanks but no thanks". Be flattered at such an honour but refuse it, like Ulrik refused to become a Wolf Lord. I did think of that, Its a shame you can't take Scout armour as an option for WG, even though it would only be good fluff wise.
