Long Fangs - what weapons do you choose?

you'd be very lucky to knock out a land raider in one turn of shooting, considering you can only glance the thing on a 6, then you'd have to roll for at least 4 more 6's and 5's to immobilize and take its weapons away before you can count it as destroyed.

i dont have to kill it i simple have to immobilize it. with out the land raider your hammer is now walking into my army to be useful

in small games, =< 1000pts, i run 2 squads of 6 with all ML, no RBs. in my current list at 2000 pts i run 2 squads of 6, each with 2 LC and 3 ML. they also have RBs with TLHB they usually arent deployed in them unless its DOW. if its not a DOW game they also have WG with CMLs.

either 3 ML's x2 HB in a razorback with t/l bolters. OR 5 M/L I have found even when using the template...against troops (even marines) I usually get nore hits than peeps in the unit. Five templates forces alot of rolling. The razorback is there for extra f/p. I run razorback crazy ie four standard with GH and WG in each.

I agree on the multi mltas unless your drop poding them in with Logan. (logans run LAST DAY!) lol sorry.

What I use depends on how 'thrifty' I want to be. 5 with LC is pretty awesome, especially to see the look on your opponents face when you take them out (more firepower than a LR) . . . BUT they're expensive and die easily (which they will as they draw fire). 5 with ML works the best as it's cheap, versatile and your opponent will see it as less of a threat so it's more survivable. If I have the points I take the RB with them too; transport, extra firepower, can be used to block LOS and charges - good stuff.
