Mr.Millar
Ok, so long story short i got very bored yesterday and built this out of some card, the question is whether i should A.) convert it into a piece of scenery, B.) build the rest of the titan. Hmm.......... Opinions and C&C welcome. The tide marks aren't as obvious IRL, its the flash I swear -_- . http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC10982.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC10980.jpg Marine for scale. http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC10981.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/196176-release-the-hounds-sort-of/ Share on other sites
sword brethren
looks the dogs (warhounds) nuts and bolts -_- if you have the time and commitment then built the whole thing! just bear in mind that if you dont finish it then you can always come back to it :D good luck Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/196176-release-the-hounds-sort-of/#findComment-2336931 Share on other sites
Lestat
It's wonders what a little bored creativity can do! It looks pretty cool - looks too good to be just a piece of terrain. Maybe next time you are bored, you will build the rest of it! Ghakzull
Well if that's you bored then focus and do the whole thing! :D But on a serious note, that is truly awesome my friend. Mr.Millar
Thanks for the positive replys, I might just build the rest of the 'hound in the week if i have nothing else to do. Looks like I'm going to need some plasticard to make the armor panels & detail. I decided to build the head for this guy as a test because I was looking through some of BulldogUk's amazing work on his website and I was inspired by his titan scratch-builds. Plus i had nothing better to do ;) I'll post here if build any more of the titan. In the meantime I'm open for name suggestions if you guys have any good ideas. Lestat
If you are stuck for materials, then thin cardboard would work in place of plasticard. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/196176-release-the-hounds-sort-of/#findComment-2337226 Share on other sites
Mr.Millar
@Lestat: I'm using card for the basic superstructure of the 'hound, i just feel that plasticard will be better for parts that require some structural integrity :D, after all I dont want it collapsing on me. I've started work on one of the legs and ill upload a few pics in a bit when it's assembled. Whitefireinferno
Why not build it to be a terrain peice like build half a torso one arm and one leg and have it downed would make for a epic terrain peice/Objective. Mr.Millar
@whitefireinferno: 0.o good idea, but to be honest I'd rather build a whole titan just to see the looks on the faces of the people at the gaming club when i plonk it down on the table :) . However I so want a downed titan as scenery, actual titan first, then a downed one. sgtNACHO
Wow, That's looking pretty good, I would personally have that hound hunched over as far as you can though. Make him a smaller target for those lascannons and tank killing stormsword variants Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/196176-release-the-hounds-sort-of/#findComment-2339114 Share on other sites
Mr.Millar
Update! Well....it's been a month and between revision (Ugh) and college work, I've found a little bit of spare time to build the odd part or two for the hound and i must say, it' looking good. Below are the pictures of my progress thus far dry fitted together. And yes, that is a load bearing setsquare. http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/warhoundwip1.jpg Techmarine and head included for scale on the second picture, which might i add is much sharper than the first, stupid camera *grumble grumble* http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/warhoundwip2.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/196176-release-the-hounds-sort-of/#findComment-2412017 Share on other sites
