Eberious
Hello, been a while since I posted any model work. But I thought this was a good time to start up again. After helping out at a dreadnought converting day I was asked by my local GW store to make a Libby Dread for the shop. Of course humbled, I was like hell yeah!!!. So got some bits together from the shop's bitzbox, Ironclad(got say pretty sweet kit) and the new Sanguinary guard set, and gotta say fricken sweet kit. The level of detail on them is amazing. Anyways, few pics of the basic pose. Can't have to many fragile parts as will be the stores gaming model, so has to be robust and hard wearing. Hes pointing, and has to have the standard hero pose. The chain fist will be the power weapon arm, will cut away the saw teeth and plasti-card a blade in some shape or form. It did cross my mind to give him a hand held weapon, but to warmachine for my liking. (pics broekn so removed) Cut down the right fist, and replacing the fingers. The left leg has also been re-jointed or bent. And will have a coating of blood angels/libby bling. All before this coming saturday's release. Wish me luck. CC welcome. Montuhotep
Damn. B) Just. Damn. That is one superbly posed and built Dreadnought you have there - now get it painted but do a tutorial on posing it before you do! Eberious
Cheers, and thats at its most basic with no chopping done. Won't be me painting it, just the building part as I paint very diffirently to the store's BA army. Sorry no tutorial, as legs alreay stuck together. I'll do one when I make one for myself, which won't be long. (pics broken so removed) Will be cleaning the GS up after it sets. darth_giles
Not bad, but methinks it would look a hair better with guitar wire hoses- and more of them- instead of those plastic ones. Can't wait to see it painted, guitar wire or not. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/196329-libby-dread/#findComment-2346003 Share on other sites
