Gunnar Red Moon's Great Company

Gargantuan

Recommended Posts

I wanted to do an elite army to play when I'm don't feel like playing with orks so I chose to do a Space Wolf army for many reasons. Great miniatures, fluff, paint scheme and I like to play aggressive armies.

I decided to do Gunnar's company because his fluff is very cool and his company markings looks great.

Here's my prototype grey hunter, I just need to paint his bolter, backpack and base.

I don't know why the gold on his helmet looks so matte but it looks better IRL

It was great fun to do the free hand stuff.

Comments and critique is very welcome!

Cheers!

The grey hunter is finally complete! It took a long time to paint but I think I'll be able to paint minis in this standard in about 70-90 minutes.

Here's my WIP blood claw prototype, it just needs a backpack and some work on the base.

Thanks for the comments!

Here's my WIP razorback, I just need to finish some details

I'll finish it tomorrow and post some better pics.

I followed a tutorial for the armour, sadly I don't remember who made it.

Armour:

I undercoat them with tamiya german grey spray (adeptus battlegrey also works)

Paint codex gray, leave some of the darker grey in the recesses

Highlight with fortress grey, I do a pretty rough blend

Paint hormogaunt purple mixed with a lot of water where there should be shadows.

Use asurmen blue in the deepest recesses.

I've been trying to find the tutorial, if I find it I'll add a link.
