First Salamanders

Hello Bolter and Chainsword! These are the Salamanders that I've been working on for a while. While I've been painting and collecting 40k for several years, this is the first time that I've gotten around to painting an entire army. Please C&C, I'd love to hear your opinions on how I can improve.

This is the model I'm using as my stand-in for Vulkan. He has awesome armor, a huge weapon, a powerfist, and a cloak, so he has all the wargear that Vulkan has. I haven't quite worked out the fluff of my army, but I will probably say that he is a captain of one of the reserve companies.

Here are some of my tactical marines and a close up on the face of the Sergeant. I decided to go for the newer version of how to paint Salamanders flesh, with charcoal-y skin and burning eyes.

The entire tactical squad, and the sergeant that I actually use in the squad. It's the first banner I've ever tried to paint.

Assault marine sergeant and flamer. A friend assisted me with the flames.

An objective marker that I made for my army.

Please C&C, and be nice, this is my first post.

It all looks pretty cool, but I would prefer to see those flames with a brighter base to make them seem more intense. Sure, it looks great as is, but the Salamanders are all about their fire, and I think making the flames look more intense would really add to the overall look of them.
