Torin
Good day brothers, Have you come across any game vs a Nid player that actually use 6 - 9 biovore... I find this units to be a killer.. hitting us with 6 - 9 large blast template at 45pts only with 2 Wounds. Very deadly i would say. how would u counter this. tq Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/196472-nid-bombard/ Share on other sites
Grey Mage
Id hit him right back with my Whirlwind and/or DP a dreadnaught or GH squad next to the other two... should be dead pretty quick, they only have 2 wounds each. Oh, and be prepared for a laugh- every time he loses a spore mine you get a kill point, isnt that cool? whitewolfmxc
spore mines dont give kill points anymore Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/196472-nid-bombard/#findComment-2340695 Share on other sites
Grey Mage
spore mines dont give kill points anymore Wheres that? Because all I can see is the living bomb rule, wich says we treat each mine as its own unit. whitewolfmxc
"spore mines are always ignored for the purposes of any and all mission objectives" that of course includes it as not scoring and its not a kill point Also on topic , use wolf scouts with power weapons or a drop pod with 5 wolf guards with combi plasmas / meltas , and see those biovore units cry Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/196472-nid-bombard/#findComment-2340700 Share on other sites

whitewolfmxc
well the objective of an annihilation is killing units (kill points) , thats just how the word is used Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/196472-nid-bombard/#findComment-2340709 Share on other sites
Grey Mage
well the objective of an annihilation is kill points , thats just how the word is used except thats not how GW is using the word... objectives are locations that you need to be near, not the gaining of KPs. whitewolfmxc
oh well im pretty sure it will be FAQ since last edition made the unit unplayable in kill point games and i also think when they have to say "Any and all" mission , the "any" could be standard types of mission "dawn of war or blah blah mission type" and the "All" is the "take an objective / kill a unit" mission types (so far thats the only objectives of any game) , so first is just different scenarios and the second is how exactly what you doing to win thats just my thoughts on this Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/196472-nid-bombard/#findComment-2340716 Share on other sites

It might be nice to see a biovore on the field for once. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/196472-nid-bombard/#findComment-2340722 Share on other sites
whitewolfmxc
There is no point for saying that line at all if it wasn't for that purpose since spore mines are not troops , they dont need any clarifications on mission objectives the only reason there is , is that they arent even a unit that gives kill points Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/196472-nid-bombard/#findComment-2340726 Share on other sites
