Where i had to cut the thousand sons icon out of the decal paper (which is quite small & fiddley) any paper left surrouding the decal showed up as white, which was very difficult to paint over and ended up a lighter shade. Heres what ive done to get around this, whats everyones C&C? If the decal are home made, load the image into your standard windows paint program and then fill the background in with black (using the bucket tool). If a white area surrounds the symbol then that area has been coloured. To fix it, simply fill that area in with another colour (or black again) and erase it. That should solve the problem, but if you ask me, the white diamond background looks kinda cool, i think you should keep it and say its part of a fellowship's* heraldry. *Fellowship's are basically what the Thousand Sons are organised into, Magnus split them into nine Fellowships i believe (such a coincidence that that is tzeentchs number aye :tu: ), each led by a captain. I like the idea about the fellowhships heraldry, cheers. Might try messing around witht ehpaint program and decals backgroud too & see what they look like. I made the shoulder pads using cardboard, very fiddley and i wouldnt do them again, but scibor miniatures are now making some large shoulder guards which look good.
