Kronk
This was a fun one to paint as there is lots of bling on this model. Also, this completes my Black Templar Crusade Expansion VI oath. C&C is always welcome! http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b176/bwtodd/Minis/Warhammer/2010%20Warhammer/Helbrecht002.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b176/bwtodd/Minis/Warhammer/2010%20Warhammer/Helbrecht003.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b176/bwtodd/Minis/Warhammer/2010%20Warhammer/Helbrecht006.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/196633-crusade-expansion-oath-completed/ Share on other sites

marine77
Excellent and very clean. I have a few comments though. 1) Is it just the lighting, etc. or are some of the armor plates a bit flat looking. I wonder what an additional highlight would do to the model. Especially in the last picture, his leg looks very flat. 2) On the melta, I have found that applying heavy washes of badab black and devlan mud GW wash to the tip of the melta barrel gives that charred look. It is really sweet looking. Great work! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/196633-crusade-expansion-oath-completed/#findComment-2342991 Share on other sites
Marshal Rohr
Very nice Kronk. I like the Red Shoulder pad with the White Cross. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/196633-crusade-expansion-oath-completed/#findComment-2343190 Share on other sites
Kronk
Very nice Kronk. I like the Red Shoulder pad with the White Cross. Thank you. The GW Foundation Paints Red covers black basecoats very well. A wash of Badab Black and a lining of Reaper Master Series Paints Blood Red, and I was done. Firepower
Very nice. I especially like the cloak, always have a hard time highlighting flowing cloth myself. The little peak of white on the covered shoulder pad is remarkably crisp as well. I agree a highlight here and there on the gold (again, particularly the leg) wouldn't hurt, and the scorch marks on the melta could use a bit of refinement, but as is it's a solid job! Grats on completing your Oath, too! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/196633-crusade-expansion-oath-completed/#findComment-2343298 Share on other sites
