Black Templars Redux

Recommended Posts

Hey there, I've been off and on in the hobby for some time now, but trying to get back into it, and here are some recent attempts.

Well, I didn't get pictures in before the 31st as my father decided he needed the camera for a business trip. But here are my completed five battle brothers so LPC Completed?

Let me know Mods of the Gods.

Oh and yes, I believe the marine with the portable wall should get a cover save all the time.

C&C welcome, just bear in mind that I am still an amateur at best.

Pretty damn good for "amateur at best" I'd say! Very good free handing and individual heraldry details in particular. The "ZEAL" calligraphy on the fella behind the wall is fantastic.

Curious about the right shoulder of the Plasma gunner though, cant seem to tell what's going on there.

It's the damndest thing really, I agree they seem to be missing something, but can't quite place my finger on what (except for a backpack here and there). All i can suggest is a touch of red on each (considering you have white and black in spades, which is 2 of the 3 colors in standard BT pallets). If you arent hurting for bitz an accessory or two might not hurt either, like a well placed reliquary or scroll, what have you. Love the poses though, much more dynamic than mine by far.

Double Post, but adding some previously completed templars, the ones that started my Army Redux attempt.

First, some neophytes (old metal models)

And some initiates

And finally, as every good templar needs a sweet ride to pick up some Sisters of Battle... The roof hatch of my rhino that I'm currently working on.

Thanks for the feedback on the rhino hatch. I always find myself wanting to go back and fix it up a little... one of these times I'm gonna screw it all up and have to simple green it off.

Current projects that I'm working on while I have some spray primer ordered.

Stoic Commander, could potentially be my Helbrecht counts as.

Lemme know what you think... the greenstuff/procreate work is not my best, and was done in the past. I like to think I'm improving with the stuff.

Oh, and I'm still working on the Rhino.

@Firepower: Almost!? I guess I have to finish mine first to inspire you.

My termies will actually be a 10 man squad because all I require are extra arms for a 10 man squad. And the ven dread will stretch into another stripped reg dread.

@Iago: I should've had a before and after pic I guess. Oh well, we'll have more pics tomorrow morning as I work nights.

Worked more on the rhino, added this detail.... want to clean it up a bit I think...

Also, started working on my Assault Termies

I'm having trouble deciding on colors for some of the parts, don't want it to run together, but I don't want it to be a mix of crazy colors too.

I envy your work ethic most of all, keep cranking em out man!

I like to think of myself as bipolar in the warhammer world. I'll go nuts and strip my entire army (Just did) and then repaint them... and then go 2-3 months with no work. Hopefully staying active with my postings will keep that from happening.
