Female Inquisitor Conversion

Been a while since I've been around these parts...

This was a commission job that I finished off some time ago, but only just got around to sorting out the final pics... so thought it was about time to post her up in the gallery.

Built on a blank female armature (from Maidenhead Miniatures) with a fair amount of putty work:

To see how she was put together, check out the WIP thread here.

As always, comments and criticisms are welcome...

Fantastic model!

Dynamic pose, excellent attention to detail. Like previous poster, love the bionic arm and the mounted storm bolter. The power armour puts me in mind of the Sister of Battle plate, which is great. Love the scroll tubes and the =I= symbol on the flat of the hammer is brilliant (can just imagine it leaving it impressed in a heretics head!). The only thing I'm not completely sold on is the base, but I imagine that was done to fit in with the clients army's theme?

Have seen your work on a couple of other forums, so glad to see you back over here in the B&C!

It looks a little to back/top heavy to me. A Sister pack with terminater stormbolter would have scaled better than astartes pack with two bolters glued together I think. The receding hairline is another point that you might address in later sculpts. A somewhat average measure for where to start a hairline is the same distance up from the eyebrow as the distance from the eyebrow to the bottom of the nose. I love the putty work on the armor, and the bionic arm is great!

The base was indeed a specific request, along with a bunch of extras for him to mount her retinue on. The pic doesn't really do it any favours.

They're actually bolt pistols. A regular stormbolter looked way too big for her.

The backpack was something I wasn't entirely sold on myself, as I also thought it looked a little big and wanted to trim it down, but the buyer liked it as is.

The angle of the pictures makes it a little worse than it actually is, but I see your point.

I mean, er... her hair is shaved back a little to allow the Psychic Hood to interface better.

Yes, that'll do... :)
