Notable Heresy engagements

I'm looking for a theme for my background and modeling for my Heresy Wolves and was wondering if people knew of any notable (I.E named) deployments carried out by the Wolves during the Heresy period.

 

Something later is preferable so I have an excuse to mix in mkVI armour into my force, for the Blood Claws of course :lol:

 

I can only think of Prospero off the top of my head and that was the beginning of the Heresy. There's the Siege of Terra as well but the Wolves arrived late (any idea how late?)

hmm im not a fluff guru but i do believe the only significant engagement the space wolves participated in during the heresy was Prospero, which i believe was what horus intended. After all the reason he lowered the shields on his flagship to allow the emperor and sanguinus to teleport onto the bridge to confront him because he needed to end the siege considering the Wolves, Angels and Ultramarines would arrive soon.

 

That reminds me, on the way to terra Russ decided to stop and take out some frustration on the rebel planet Dulan under the tyrant Durath on their way to Terra, (Page 91 in the codex.)

The whole thing is supposedly the origin to the whole Space Wolves and Dark Angels feud.

We arrived on Terra right after the traitors fled (Same with DA's). (Emperor wounded, Sang dead, Horus dead).

 

There's Prospero which is not tied to Horus.

 

And then there is the Alpha Legion interdiction where the White Scars and our Legion had a ship battle with Alpharius (and Omegon?) in order to prevent us making it to Terra on time. The White Scars departed after urgings from the Imperial Fists to come help protect Terra. We were left to face the Alpha Legion. The Artbooks say we were helped by "mysterious" allies to help us defeat the Alpha Legion. Allies have yet to be revealed. Probably Eldar or Harlies(my guess)
