Token
Would a land raider dedicated transport give a kill point, if destroryed? What about a rhino? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197074-does-dedicated-transport-give-kill-points/ Share on other sites
Koremu
Yes, in all Standard Scenarios. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197074-does-dedicated-transport-give-kill-points/#findComment-2348226 Share on other sites
Frosty the Pyro
yes, and yes. All units give a killpoint. transports are units. Each individual combat squads is a unit. even a retinue (of which codex marines have none) is a unit independent from their character. the sanguinor
this is what makes me laugh about tau piranhas...you kill it then the drones and you get 2 kill points. Sparhawk
I thought I saw on a FAQ somewhere that the drones were not a separate KP. I could be mistaken about that though. the sanguinor
maybe..i didnt see it. but the drones count as a seperate unit and thats where i drew the 2 kill point conclusion from. ShinyRhino
From the INAT FAQ, v3.3: "TAU.30E.01 – Q: In Annihilation missions, do vehicle Gun Drones give up an extra Kill Point if they are all destroyed? A: Assuming all the Gun Drones for a vehicle or squadron aren‟t destroyed when their parent vehicles are destroyed, yes the squadron formed by vehicle Gun Drones is then worth a Kill Point when destroyed [RAW]." So, if you detach them, and they die while detached...they're a KP. If they die while attached, they are NOT a KP. greatcrusade08
The same works for t-fire, if you kill the cannon the techy becomes an IC and therefore worth an extra KP.. if you kill the gunner first its only a single KP for both Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197074-does-dedicated-transport-give-kill-points/#findComment-2348420 Share on other sites

Its one kp for both regardless of order. Ics are worth kill points on thier own. im pretty sure this was covered in a rules discussion Not this again! I think it can be read both ways... which way is correct... well I don't care... yes it's an IC and ICs are worth KPs but if the Techmarine and Thunderfire cannon form a unit and the Thundefire is destroyed do you get a KP for the thunderfire being destroyed as some of that unit is still left (the Techmarine) or when the Techmarine becomes an IC is it forming a new unit and so the Thundefire unit is ended and awards a KP. But generally if it is a unit then it awards KP, if vehicles are in squadrons you get 1KP for the squadron not the individual vehicles. Imperial Guard infantry platoons have their own rules and some other units like the mentioned Thundefire cannon and Devilfish are odd and can give away more than 1KP although people often disagree on these matters. Oh and Space Wolves Lone Wolf gives a KP to the enemy if it is still alive at the end of the game. Thats why Victory points are still better than killpoints. UNITS give KP, and IC are normaly there own individual unit (even with an attached retinue the IC is still its own unit, simply joined). The techmarine is not joined to the cannons units, it IS part of the cannons unit. Sparhawk
Like Frosty said. I think an important distinction is that unlike other ICs the Techmarine cannot leave the TC. In fact, up until the TC is destroyed the Techmarine isn't even considered an IC.
