lewiss111
really good paint job! surprised you painted them from a black undercoat though Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197267-sanguinary-priests/#findComment-2350100 Share on other sites
Dan The Deamon
Ugh, that white one looks intense. It almost hurts my eyes how awesome those models are. I really like what you did with him. chaplainmikey
I really like the San guard model in white, seems the perfect colour for such a regal looking suit of armour. You've done a good job with the painting i have to say,the white looks very smooth. Really can't wait to get hold of some of these to convert into grey knights!! Mike. SangPriest
Thanks for the feedback guys! I am really liking these models. Sternguard, Vanguard, Grey Knights, even Custodes are all possible conversions from these models! I can't wait to start working on my sternguard, and painting the librarian, which I will do tonight after raids >.>. Overrated
The painted one looks very nice, but the weapon load-out on him is very inefficient. Don't give a power fist to an Independent Character with no invul save. sar mikael
dude the painted saguinary priest looks sweet! nice paint job, well modelled. granted these models are good enough on their own but you have used them really well. impressive, looking forward to seeing the other priests/guard! SangPriest
Thanks for the compliments guys! I know the gear on them is 'expensive' to say the least for a 1 wound model. But TBH i model more than i play and I only really play for fun so i'm not overly concerned with itemisation so long as it looks good. I am working on sternguard atm and will hopefully put up pics in the next few days  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197267-sanguinary-priests/#findComment-2350626 Share on other sites

BrotherAtrox
It seems like the SG models look good in every color except gold. Good work. Are these bits exclusively from the SG/DC boxes? SangPriest
all bits are from the DC/SG box. The legs I used are dc, the chest, gun and fist are SG. The head is dc as is the backpack. Shoulder pads are interchangeable. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197267-sanguinary-priests/#findComment-2350867 Share on other sites

SangPriest
Librarian http://i508.photobucket.com/albums/s327/Walker203/476e3545.jpg http://i508.photobucket.com/albums/s327/Walker203/f36e3197.jpg Still lots to do on him. I need to bring up the highlights a bit more esp on the red, fix the gems, do the forceweapon (which I could use some suggestions for), and a bunch of lettering and white highlights. Lots more to go!! and DC Tycho, my interpretation at least. Tried to stay true to the armor and weapons in the new 'dex. Please tell me what you think. I don't see DC Tycho, as the stand around with gun on your hip type. http://i508.photobucket.com/albums/s327/Walker203/940f7710.jpg http://i508.photobucket.com/albums/s327/Walker203/d00038c2.jpg Thanks all, more feedback would be much appreciated! bazleuk
Loving the librarian, as for tycho is he going without the mask and showing the wound inflicted by the weirdboy? IronDuke
That SG box looks like it has some beautiful pieces in it, must get my hands on some. You have put together some great models and the painting is great too. DC Tycho looks great as well. @bazleuk, in the story of Tycho storming the breach at Tempestora Hive, it says his mask was ripped off by an Ork in combat - I am assuming this is the look SangPriest is going for. noodlenerd
absolutely stunning that first one. Love it. Will definately paint my own sanguinary priests white :) Also, I love the libby! simple, yet great model :P Interesting Tycho, too, even though the fluff nut in me finds the PF disturbing :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197267-sanguinary-priests/#findComment-2352868 Share on other sites
SangPriest
Yeah I wasn't so cool with the PF but the fist is an amazing piece and it looks like what they have in the book with his picture. I am infact going for the 'no mask' tycho, primarily b/c I am terrible with GS but with paint I can make it look like a wound! I do have a question though, anyone have ideas for a good basing scheme for these guys?
