noodlenerd
the face is half metallic/gold mask, but pics are hiding it. Fixed the skin tone a bit to make it more visible. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197504-diy-tycho/#findComment-2352863 Share on other sites
SangPriest
Very nice Tycho. Are you going to be brightening up that armor? Much like Space Wolves our armor has changed shades multiple times. The scultping/GS is very nice as well! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197504-diy-tycho/#findComment-2352901 Share on other sites

Soul Piercer
Beautiful conversion, only thing I could think to have made it better would have been to GS some digi-lasers on his hand. With your skill I think that would have made it perfect. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197504-diy-tycho/#findComment-2353038 Share on other sites
tahrikmili
I was gonna make my own but now that I've seen this, I sorta gave up. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197504-diy-tycho/#findComment-2353147 Share on other sites

With your skill I think that would have made it perfect. Thanks, Actually I have painted the digital weapons on, since I forgot to GS them. Actually, I think it works quite well :) will upload pics later I was gonna make my own but now that I've seen this, I sorta gave up. hehe, thanks :P But seriosuly, don't give up, just do it. It's not that hard. The most important thing to remember is to reposition the legs. Running legs really don't fit Tycho, and the SG legs are really geared towards jumping and landing poses, so some cutting and repositioning is a must. :) thanks for the positive comments everyone! will update later, with 99% finished pics. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197504-diy-tycho/#findComment-2353350 Share on other sites

noodlenerd
The new sanguinary box for the head, and the death company box for the wing, who originally had a blod drop attached to it. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197504-diy-tycho/#findComment-2353661 Share on other sites
popkhorne
Great job on the convertion really owns the gamesworkshop version. I was wondering were you got the open hand that you used for the one not gripping the combi-weapon or did u just reposistion the fingers? because it really has a cool look to it Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197504-diy-tycho/#findComment-2353875 Share on other sites
Pinky Narfanet
I'm pretty sure that the open hands are on the SG frames. Take a look at the larger pictures on the GW site. noodlenerd
good eye, Pinky narfanet, it is indeed from the SG kit. A small, yet great detail, I think. The open fist is perfect for conversions, because it has this tense look, without being clenched. I absolutely love that hand bit on the sprue, it adds a lot of character, imho. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197504-diy-tycho/#findComment-2353924 Share on other sites
Vostok3
That is a marvelous conversion, mate. It's quite inspiring, as I have a great many of those bits, though sadly not your skill with green stuff. It didn't dawn on my until the second or third time looking that they were hands. Your Tycho is very impressive. You've set the bar pretty high as far as using the SG for characters. Do you have any plans to bring in more? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197504-diy-tycho/#findComment-2353991 Share on other sites
noodlenerd
thanks. I have no real plans, but I will make a count as Seth. That's all I know for now, though don't be surprised if I end up making a few more plastic SCs :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197504-diy-tycho/#findComment-2354437 Share on other sites
