Hello everyone. I'm quite new to this forum but have watched it for quite a while and eventually decided to become a member.

As the title suggests I'm working my way through my army painting up the 2nd battle company, although I am working my way through the 1st company and support vehicles. The pictures that follow are the completed squads so far.

All C&C is welcome.

why are the third and fifth the same squad?

other than that, they are really well done

Clearly you have not been looking closely enough.

Although i dislike the ultra's i do like the way yours look and anyone making a battle company deserves the praise for it so good job.

Just finished the missing apothecary from the Command Squad. I wanted him to be painted in the traditional colours of an apothecary since I'm a little old school when it comes to the Space Marines.

P.S By the way I hate painting white.

im really digging the sarges helmets haha. just one thing isn't Sicarius (spelling?) the captain of the Ultramarines 2nd company? why not use his model, its super badass haha, that being said your captain is really cool, is that the old metal space marine captain?

Yeah you're right Sicarius is the Captain of the 2nd, and yes is a totally kick ass model (which I do have and will be posting in another thread for my special charcters). This guy however does predate the Sicarius model by a good 5+ years and I tend to use him as a cheaper alternative in most of my games.

The model is just the old metal captain with a simple head swap and plastic bolt pistol.

Some 2nd Company reinforcements which have just been finished.

Quick Question:

How do you do your blue?

My blues are really easy to do. Starting with a black undercoat add a basecoat of either regal blue or mordian blue (I find adding a little pva glue to the paint help thicken it up and helps cohesion of the paint to the model). The next stage is to drybrush layers of ultramarines blue onto the model until to get the required highlights. I used to do this with a tank brush but have since started using a small drybrush and have had much better results.
