Yellow Wolves?

Hey y'all; my little cousin is just barely starting to get into 40k And opted for a Space wolves army to be his first.

He didn't like the SW original colors though, so we worked up something to his liking.

I wanted him to be able to produce a nice army fairly quickly, and easily too!

So we used The Army Painter products to get him where he needed to be.

He hasn't painted much(at all) but with my help we came up with an easy way to get his models looking cool.

I painted up this test mini in 18 minutes.

This is the final result! Tell me what you think.

Sorry the pics are crappy, took em in a hurry!

Base coat only.

That part was done in 18 minutes, excluding the spray. Moved on to Army Painter Strong Tone dip.

Final result.

I think the Army painter products are pretty fantastic for first time hobbyist. What do ya'll think?

Any q's i'd be sure to answer them.

Peace,

Malev.

Its nice for the time it took, but things like the under-armor and bolt pistol casing could deffinitely use some different colors than just the basecoat. A little more time and I think the end result would be drastically improved.

Army Painter does make some nice dips.

I agree, give him some black plating (or dark-blue depending on which comics you read, maturity is a state of mind not an age). Looking at a pic, i'd say do it on the hands (and maybe forearms), lower legs, inner shoulder pad, groin and maybe some parts of the helmet.

Heres something I knocked up quickly, do what you wish with it.

Great yellow, worked well with dipping they have a very gritting look. It would make a nice Space Wolves off shoot chapter Warriors of Niflheim or Asgard comes to mines just some suggestions to help spark the imagination

Appreciate the input guys! Very helpful.... Now just for my cousin to get his first paycheck so we can irresponsibly blow it on Space Wolves.

I'm definitely going to get a shot at attempting to darken some panels to break it up a bit... right now I'm leaning towards some grey paneling.

Just because i like the way the grey turned out!
