Salamander Captain

Pyroclastic

Recommended Posts

My Salamander captain minimally converted from a Chapter master model. I've been knocking it around for a few months and finally got around to finishing it.

C&C welcome.

Recipe for the green please! excellent job. Love it!

I think the pose is also excellent, looks like he could be looking at who the next enemy he's going to go after, or he's just come out of/just about to go into an offensive/defensive strike. Nicely positioned!

This is more or less what I saw in the model when I put it together.

The recipe that I use for the green is fairly simple:

-basecoat the model black

-paint the armor with 3-4 watered down layers of snot green

-give the model 2-3 washes of thraka green (don't be shy) giving particular attention to the creases and gaps

-highlight with scorpion green

Hope that helps!
