Terrible_Trygon
So I was playing around with some new ideas for true scaling, when I saw this head I had. Now I wanted to use it on guard, but it was way too big, so an idea bulb went off. http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k156/Terrible_Trygon/DSCF1010.jpg http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k156/Terrible_Trygon/DSCF1011.jpg http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k156/Terrible_Trygon/DSCF1013.jpg And yes, I am totally painting her in a Pre-Heresy scheme when she is done, because that is the icing on the cake here. Not sure which Legion to go for though. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197806-true-scale-pre-heresy-female-space-marine/ Share on other sites
Captain Mike
Someone's bound to say it... one of the two missing ones. One of the most common theories is that it was made up of female marines! But nice so far, and judging by your sculpting on other models (what is the green on the left, btw?) this will look good. Terrible_Trygon
The one on the left is an Inquisitorial Guard Sergeant. I am painting her squad at the moment, but she will remain unpainted until I do. I put a lot of work into sculpting her so I want to get her done right. Terminatorinhell
Well you already know what I am gonna say about this.. Terrible_Trygon
I just had an idea. I should consider making her a World Eater marine! I can give her trophies and an exposed muscular arm, like Khârn! Lestat
Looks liek a pretty cool start. Where did you get the head from? It would be a good start for a truescale Sister of Silence. Terrible_Trygon
Aren't Sisters of Silence the same size as normal humans? Oh, nevermind. The head came from Reaper's Taryn, Spearmaiden. It is a horribly, horribly out of proportion model, but the head seems like it might have a use after all. Maybe Fluff wise but meh aslong as we all enjoy this hobby, and game and so on i say bring on the girls!. Technically, the reason why this model is a 'Female Marine' and 'Pre Heresy' on top of being True Scale is entirely a joke between me and a friend regarding the how anything with 'Female Marine', 'Pre Heresy' and 'True Scale' in the title often gets almost triple the attention on a lot of the mainstream 40k forums, like Warseer and this site for instance. You could say I am taking the piss with this model. Commander Sasha
Nice work so far, I envy! With the Chaotic disregard for laws of the Imperium, and Angron performing lobotomies on the Emperor's finest to see if he can make them better, it's not a huge leap of imagination to see World Eaters experimenting with female DNA, along with Astartes-animals etc. Best of luck TT, I'll be following this one with interest, both the modelling, and any further background that develops! From another female Astartes advocate! Terrible_Trygon
Actually, I am not a female marine advocate. Mostly becuase I never saw any sense in the idea of making psychically weaker Space Marines in a galaxy swarming with large, tough men. However, people do what they want with with the miniatures they pay for. My solid, personal opinion on the matter that is not going to change, so please do not try to convert me or anything or cause a debate. The model is no more then a light hearted jab and the Space marine fanbase and an experiment with full sculpt power armour suits, for possible casting when I do it for real. Terrible_Trygon
I just don't want people using my threads as devices for their own gain. I wish to avoid being dragged into the Female Marine Debate. Anyways, I have progressed a little. Mostly it is the pose. I want to see what people think of it before going on with the sculpting. http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k156/Terrible_Trygon/DSCF1015.jpghttp://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k156/Terrible_Trygon/DSCF1017.jpg http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k156/Terrible_Trygon/DSCF1024.jpghttp://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k156/Terrible_Trygon/DSCF1021.jpg http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k156/Terrible_Trygon/DSCF1016.jpg EDIT: Aren't Sisters of Silence the same size as normal humans? No, I meant the head itself would be a good start for one of the Silent Sisterhood. No, it wouldn't. When I said it is too big for normal human models at 28mm heroic I meant it. Skirax
I think, angle the fist so that the palm is facing downwards, and the torso leaning forward. Gyson_Vore
I like the pose, it definitely has the Space Marine feel to it. The hair even adds to the sense of movement. Well done all around, I say, and I for one can't wait to see it finished. Terrible_Trygon
I am not that bothered that she looks kinda macho. If female marines were possible it would still be about making humans into marines. And gender would not stop the final result looking the same. Marines are monstrous, muscle bound engines of destruction, and I don't want to take that away just because of the model's gender. Terrible_Trygon
This model is also a bit of a jab at the female marine fans as well as the female marine haters. But how you ask? Most female marines tend to be pretty girls in shapely armour. So, for their sake I have dolled my own marine up a little... http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k156/Terrible_Trygon/DSCF1032.jpghttp://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k156/Terrible_Trygon/DSCF1033.jpg http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k156/Terrible_Trygon/DSCF1034.jpghttp://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k156/Terrible_Trygon/DSCF1038.jpg http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k156/Terrible_Trygon/DSCF1036.jpg I am pretty happy with her scar and her bionic eye has a decent start. Here Heresy Armour is also coming along nicely, and I have her a trophy. And not to forget her arm work. I love how her muscles came out. Proper dead hard she is. Justicar Valius
I like it very much, the muscle unless not armoured I don't particularly like, the whole thing I hate about female marines are form fitting armour, no matter where it is Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197806-true-scale-pre-heresy-female-space-marine/#findComment-2359242 Share on other sites
Terrible_Trygon
The arm is not armoured. She will be a World Eater and the exposed arm was inspired by Khârn. Nicorex
She is comming along nicely. Im having a bit of a problem with her pose though. Right now (from waist up) it looks like she is taking aim to blast someones face with her PP, but her legs look like she is just starting off running. I think if you canted her whole body forward a little it might look a bit more natural. If you can though I would set the moving leg farther down so that it looks more like she is bracing to take a aimed shot. Ohh and where is her powerfist from? I dont recongnize it.
