Token
If i have a imp heavy weapon team with a normal infantry squad infront of it and the heavy weapon team fires at a vehicle or monstrous creature wich is more them double the infantry squad in height, does it get a cover save from the infantry squad? Koremu
No. In order for MCs to gain a cover save, they have to have 50% of their body obscured from the POV of the firer, just as per vehicles. Note also that long scything talons are officially not part of the monsters body. Token
Cool, so then hills and such in deployment zones are a good place to camp with heavy weapon team. Maybe. You have to get down and look from the Model's Eye View. If the normal infantry are right in front of the heavy weapons team then there is a good chance that they might block more than 50% of a large model that is across the table. Get down and look, and let your opponent look too, to confirm it. If it isn't clear/obvious then roll a d6 to see if a Cover Save is granted or not. AssaultCommander
What they said. No taret priority either. Yay 5th edition!! If the unit is right in front of them, then it probably is covered. But, like they said, if its 50% or more covered from the model's point of view, its covered. This makes monoliths difficult to get cover :cuss Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197878-cover-for-monstrous-creatures-and-vehicles/#findComment-2363441 Share on other sites
