Dreadnought close combat arm, where to get the cool claws?

Do they come in the venerable dreadnought kit by any chance, or is it some bitz you need to specially order?

Its a 50 dollar out of print special character known as "Bjeorn the Fell-handed" or "Space Wolf Dreadnaught" on later boxes.

Comes with a very nice metal dread, with wolfy bits, heavy flamer+ assault cannon, and the Lightning Claw DCCW.

Wich oddly enough used to actually be a Str 6 DCCW like the new BA Bloodclaws. Huh. *shrugs*.

So yeah... Ebay is probly your best bet... followed closely thereafter by bribing people who used to play to rifle through their old bitz boxes in search of one.

I'm not sure, looking at page 67 in our codex there's one with some sort of claw.

Custom-build, out of old WE sword halves by the look of it... though you could do the same by properly shaving sprue bits to suit.

Yeh, there are many way's of getting some nice looking claws on your Dread. One of the Chaos Dread close combat arms, there is a Forgeworld Product, an old Bjorn metal model, a good slice-n-dice conversion job, or if your really game you can scratch build one with GS :).

I've an old Bjorn model that I've been looking at converting with the help of a plastic dread kit, some plasti card, and a lot of GS (And probably some random bits n pieces). Basically want to make him a little bigger then a standard Ven Dread, and then do some extra "wolfing up" on him. Biggest problem I've been having so far is the mongrel I got it from used so much superglue to stick him together the model is tearing my hands apart when I try to get it apart :(.

Its fully metal... just but it in a solvent, like say Pinesol or Brake Fluid, out in the garage for a few days... careful with phumes etc of course.

It should be in peices in a week or so.

This is of course assuming you dont care one wit about its paint job :(.
