Lorenzen
update time.. http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd199/typhion/DSC00289.jpg the new method is speeding up my painting which is making me a very happy bunny, these two are close to completion now with another 3 about halfway done (ill post pics soon) the backpacks are the main bit i have to finish off before the models could be considered done.. but they do show the original basecoat colour.. which is too bright and cheerfull for my liking but could be usefull for those who like ferrari red blood angels (dragon red spray from army painter) anyways tell me what you think whilst i knuckle down and get these churned out. (before stripping them all for some mundane reason no1 else would notice) :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/198377-blood-angels-army-blog/page/3/#findComment-2470232 Share on other sites
Zeller
Nice looking armor and an especially good skinjob on the sergeant. A note for future marines - drill the barrels and trim that tiny lip on along the barrels length on the top. From the picture it appears to be a sign of where the bolter mold halves came together. How is the dirt done around the feet? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/198377-blood-angels-army-blog/page/3/#findComment-2470439 Share on other sites
Lorenzen
a broken pin vice means no barrel drilling atm unfortunatley, however it will be done before they are finished mark my words! :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/198377-blood-angels-army-blog/page/3/#findComment-2470809 Share on other sites
Hyaenidae
Your winged Chaplain looks great, don't give up on him. Truly an angel of death. The Captains look awesome too, keep up the great work! Lorenzen
well its update time.. i took some time off from doing much painting or gaming for that matter because i was suffering from hobby burn and had far too much work etc.. but im just about capable of picking up a brush again without going "ugh" and doing something else almost immediately so heres some pictures.. http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd199/typhion/DSC00325.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd199/typhion/DSC00326.jpg trying to get through some basic troops etc.. in theory i have the majority of a companies worth of stuff to paint up.. so have been doing my best to cut corners without affecting the overall look too much.. expect more updates soon.. and of shiny things that have distracted me from painting tacticals again! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/198377-blood-angels-army-blog/page/3/#findComment-2485397 Share on other sites
Lorenzen
as promised.. many moons ago.. i got distracted by shiny things.. fortunatley some of them are blood angel related! http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd199/typhion/DSC00349.jpg this is the start of my sanguinary guard unit.. the others are built along with a conversion of dante and a sanguinary priest.. they will be up when my camera has new batteries.. but for now enjoy the shiny man! ive not done gold in this way before and would like some opinions on it so far.. the torso, head and wing are so far the only bits worth noting.. the leg is just basecoated. not sure what i want to do with the laurels.. wether to make them gold (ie highlight and shade them) or make them green. thoughts?
